The National Housing Federation has released its new five-year Business Strategy, covering issues crucial to the sector. Victor da Cunha, Curo's Chief Executive, welcomed the strategy: "In particular, the ambition that housing associations, the government, residents and wider stakeholders share a clear vision for the future of social housing rent policy and how it works effectively with the welfare system to ensure social homes are affordable and adequately funded.”

Today, Wera Hobhouse MP highlighted a critical issue affecting social housing providers - like us and other members of Homes for the South West. Despite the repeated cuts over the past 14 years, housing providers are expected to repair homes, meet decarbonisation targets, and build much-needed new homes - despite increasingly stretched grant funding systems. We are very grateful for Wera’s intervention and support her call for a full parliamentary debate on what social rents should pay for.
