Refreshed Concordat to Support Research Integrity. 👇
Today the refreshed Concordat to Support Research Integrity is published. The refresh has been a year long, collaborative, cross-sector undertaking involving representative bodies and research funders, and facilitated by the UK Committee for Research Integrity. The Concordat has provided a vital national framework and reference document for practice and governance of research integrity in the UK since 2012, and the review aimed to ensure the it remains: ✅ relevant in light of recent developments in research nationally and internationally, including technological advances ✅ appropriately aligned with international frameworks for research governance to support research carried out in international contexts ✅ as useful and practical as possible Most crucially it is the result of consultation with the users of the Concordat - whether researchers, employers, research enabling staff, collaborators, or funders - and deep consideration of their views. I have been proud to represent the views of GuildHE and GuildHE Research member institutions as part of the review group. It is great to share the results of our work with everyone. At a challenging time for higher education and research, it is heartening and encouraging that the sector can come together like this to create something in genuine and true partnership to uphold the principles of doing research with integrity. https://lnkd.in/e6U6_M7M UK Research and Innovation | Cancer Research UK (CRUK) | Department for the Economy NI | Medr | Wellcome Trust | The British Academy | NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) | Scottish Funding Council | GuildHE Research | GuildHE | Universities UK | UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO)
