🤩 It was great to see all the amazing women who came to our coffee chats today. These virtual events are such a great chance to meet and learn from each other. Today we focused on water resource management, particularly its challenges and what could be solutions or steps towards solutions. ⁉️ What do you think is the biggest challenge for water resource management?

We are a global community of women supporting one another to thrive and advance solutions for water issues we work on
About us
The CWiW seeks to expand and strengthen the network of women working across water-related disciplines and sectors to enable them to increase their professional impact while gaining and providing support to others in the community. Through connecting and sharing knowledge, we aim to amplify women’s contributions to solutions to water-related challenges by strengthening their learning and networks to lead, support, and teach others. We are women working all across the water sector from WASH initiatives to designing IWRM to tackling transboundary issues in the public, private, and third sectors and academia. CWiW creates the forum for women to talk about their experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another and to increase their professional impact by building their capacity and developing the necessary tools and skills to be more effective. 🌍 Reflecting on #2025WaterandWASHCareerDays Series- Sessions 6 & 7 💧 In anticipation of International Women’s Day on Saturday, today we held two sessions for women to engage in peer learning. These interactive sessions involved women bringing challenges they face and sharing with each other and working together towards insights and solutions. Peer learning is about recognizing that every conversation can be a chance to learn and that great insights don’t just come from those with decades more experience. Women who care deeply about water and WASH from around the world attended these sessions and commented about how similar the challenges they face are and how critical understanding and encouragement is. Women may only be 20% of the sector’s employees, but they are passionate and inspiring and very much worth celebrating today, on International Women’s Day, and everyday. This was a fantastic way to close this year’s Career Days! Thanks to everyone who supported and attended our sessions this week. Special thanks to our facilitators: Aline Saraiva Okello, PhD, Swati Agnihotri and Kathryn Pharr; our IT gurus: Valerie Bertschy, Eliza Moore, Anisha Nijhawan, and Batima Tleulinova; and our interpreters Paul-Emile and Jorge Beteta. 🌍 Reflecting on #2025WaterandWASHCareerDays Series- Session 3 💧 Thanks to everyone who attended live and for those who missed part of it, don’t worry. The recording will be shared next week. Want to catch the last How to Get Funding (for the Americas) session today at 17:00 UTC / 12:00 EST? You can still register: https://lnkd.in/e-ANyGmg (Spanish interpretation) How to Get Funding in Asia Kathryn Pharr loved moderating this incredible panel: 🔷 Durga Das – A trailblazing entrepreneur from India, sharing her journey and insights on securing funding to create sustainable impact. 🔷 Veena Srinivasan – A leading researcher in Water & WASH, offering expertise on how research can unlock funding opportunities. 🔷 Mahak Agrawal – A consultant and founder of All Bits Count, breaking down strategies to attract resources for innovative WASH initiatives. A few key takeaway messages from our incredible panel: 🌟Step back and think about how your work (startup, research or consulting offerings) fit the objectives and goals of the customer/funder/client. 🌟Don’t wait to have everything perfect–just offer and pivot as you learn and get feedback 🌟Venturing out as a consultant or an entrepreneur or a researcher is not “freedom” you are responsible to so many people from your team that is counting on you to find funding for all of them to the clients and so many more. Be honest with yourself about why you’re considering this avenue and whether it will meet your needs and goals. 🌟 Be proactive! You can create something great, but people won’t find it on their own. You have to find them. Special thanks to Eliza Moore and Batima Tleulinova for great IT support. Agenda for Change RWSN - Rural Water Supply Network World Vision USA World Vision

What a great start to #2025WaterandWASHCareerDays with our first session this morning. Wanted to attend a live session of #Startingandshiftingcareers? There is still time to register for our 17:00 UTC session: https://lnkd.in/et-mNs8z Highlights from Session 1 Thanks to Idalina Alfai and Josh Newton for amazing insights and a serious discussion! (Recording coming soon!) Kathryn Pharr shares some of her takeaways as moderator: 1) They both highlighted the important of having No Fear to reach out to ask to talk to people about their insights and experiences if you are looking to start or shift into a career in water or WASH. 2) They agreed on thinking about the transferable skills you might have from past work and using the right language to contextualize it for the water resources and WASH sector. 3) They encouraged participants to take the extra time to find out about an organization and to tailor their application to highlight what they bring to support that organization's work and mission. Special thanks to those supporting the session live: Batima Tleulinova and Eric Cai and Aline Saraiva Okello, PhD who opened this year's Career Day and got us off to this amazing start!
