Established in 2016, Cobalt Search is a specialist recruitment search firm with expertise in providing ‘A’ Player talent to clients across the US, Canada, Middle East and the UK. To identify adaptability in potential leaders, focus on creating opportunities during the interview process to explore how they’ve handled change and uncertainty in the past. You can do this by using behavioural interview techniques to dig deeper into their experiences. Ask a question like: “Can you share an example of a time when you had to quickly learn a new skill or adapt to a completely unfamiliar situation? Follow up with: “What was the specific situation?” or “Can you provide some context about why this change was necessary?" Then ask: "What was your specific role or responsibility in that situation?” Then: “What challenges did you face?" Then: "What steps did you take to adapt?” and “Did you seek help, use specific resources, or take a particular approach?" Then: "What was the outcome?” And finally: "Looking back, what did you learn from this experience?” If you lead the candidate through the STAR method of responding, their answer should give you an insight into how they have demonstrated resilience, flexibility, and learning agility in a real-life scenario. #Leadership #Adaptability #ExecutiveSearch #FutureReady
