📊 # Cambodia needs an additional $36 billion in investments by 2050 to achieve carbon neutrality. The financial sector plays a crucial role in addressing these challenges by mobilizing capital towards sustainable projects, driving the transition to a low-carbon economy and supporting the development of climate-resilient infrastructure. To achieve this ambitious goal, IFC - International Finance Corporation is currently supporting the National Bank of Cambodia in developing a well-defined and structured taxonomy which classifies what economic activities can be considered as green and sustainable. This week, we conducted the consultation workshop on Draft Cambodia Sustainable Finance Taxonomy, discussing feedback and inputs with over 200 participants. The Climate Bonds Agrifood Transition Plan Assessment Framework is a new tool designed to guide financial institutions, #investors, and stakeholders through the complexities of financing a credible, just, and science-aligned transition in the agrifood system. This framework marks a pivotal step in ensuring that capital flows into companies that are not only addressing climate mitigation but also driving climate adaptation, protecting nature, and supporting social equity.
