We were invited to attend Urenco Capenhurst Health and Safety awards at Chester Racecourse. This year, Urenco proudly presented a Claire House 'Above and Beyond' award voted for by staff at Claire House. Our very own Tim Williams, received the Claire House 'Above and Beyond' award for everything that he has done for staff, children and families in 2024. Claire House also received an incredible donation of £10,000.00. We want to thank everyone at Urenco Capenhurst for all of the support. It really means so much to us all here. Thanks to UFC star Paddy ‘the Baddy' Pimblett who made a surprise visit to our social group recently. 👊 Some of the young adults we support got to meet the Huyton-born Mixed Martial Artist as he popped into Claire House Liverpool. The group had a blast chatting to Paddy Pimblett before his next fight. They also got to have their photograph taken with him, as did our staff. Luke, 20, who has been supported by Claire House for eight years, said: "Meeting Paddy was great. He remembered us from when he last came in back in August 2023. It's nice that he does a lot for Claire House. "We asked him questions about his upcoming fight and chatted about our rival football teams because he’s a Liverpool fan. The fact that he goes out of his way to come and see us, to put a smile on people's faces, is a great way to raise awareness for the charity and what they do. "We usually play board games, talk and have a laugh every month, but his visit was something a bit different and very memorable." ❤️

We are excited to unveil our new vehicle, made possible through the generous funding of Duke Street Food & Drink Market. 🚘 This is more than just a car – it’s a lifeline that helps our Day Care Team continue providing essential services and creating unforgettable memories for seriously ill babies, children and young adults. Last year, we ran 438 day care sessions, each one tailored to the needs and wishes of the children we support. Whether it’s a fun trip, a special activity, or respite care at home, our team is led by the children in creating experiences that matter most. ❤️ The new car allows us to transport children safely and comfortably to and from our sites in Wirral and Liverpool, as well as take them on exciting trips. For those too ill to leave home, we can offer specialist care where it's needed most. A huge thank you to Duke Street Market and their generous customers, who raised almost £20,000. Because of you, we can continue to provide care in the community and create precious memories for the children and their families. Lee Bannon-Smith, GSG Hospitality Operational Manager, said everyone at Duke Street Market was proud to make such a significant difference. 👏 He said: "Christmas 2024 raised an incredible £19,227 in support of Claire House. This donation has helped provide families with access to a car, allowing them to enjoy precious moments. We are so proud to contribute to something that makes such a meaningful impact." The children we support love getting out and about. We have been out for food, play areas, farms, bowling, the zoo, sensory play and parks. 🌍 Claire Jones, our Care Coordination Team Lead, said: “We’re incredibly grateful for this new car. As the needs of our services grow, it’s essential we can support families with the specialist respite care they so desperately need. “The children really enjoyed going to Duke Street Market to socialise and laugh together and the parents were so grateful too. Luke enjoyed the pizza, Sophie’s favourite was the cake and Tobias loved the play area. Last Friday, we were the charity partner for the Cheltenham Gold Cup Fest event hosted by Butterworth Spengler Insurance Brokers, DSG Chartered Accountants & Morecrofts LLP. £3,500 was raised throughout the afternoon thanks to the incredible companies that came together to make the day a huge success – your support, enthusiasm, and dedication to our cause have made a lasting impact. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of sponsors and attendees, along with some generous contributions along the way. Surprise donations of fantastic prizes from Lindsey and William Bell from BBR Roofing Ltd & Jordan Benbow and Joe Heath from MPAAS, meant we were able to auction these throughout the afternoon to boost funds raised (thanks for taking on the role of auctioneer Simon Krol). A massive thank you to everyone in the room who supported us, whether it was through sponsorship, donations, or just showing up to enjoy the fun and festivities.
