There is still time to give us your views. Consultation closes at the end of April.
We've created a draft plan to transform Seafield into a new environmentally friendly neighbourhood. We want to know what you think. The plan includes: • 2,700 new homes, with 35% of homes being affordable, to address the city's housing emergency • a new promenade park linking together Craigentinny, Portobello and Leith • community services and facilities, including a new primary school, GP surgery and plenty of green space • opportunities for new shops and workplaces to create a vibrant and welcoming place • improved public transport, walking, wheeling and cycling routes that link to the wider area • a heat network to provide affordable and sustainable heating and help Edinburgh meet its net zero target. You can drop in to talk to the team at: - Portobello Library on 8 Mar 2025 at 10:30 to 1.30 pm - Leith Library on 21 Mar 2025 at 12:30 to 3.30pm - Craigentinny Community Centre on 22 March at 10.30am to 1.30pm. We’re delighted to have joined Core Cities UK to become the group’s 12th member city and third national capital while expanding its UK-wide reach. The group is a leading voice in policy around devolution and decentralisation, and has a 30 year track record of implementing policy change across the UK. We face many of the urban challenges and opportunities as our partners, and hope to play a key role in the group's thinking around inclusive economic growth. We’re looking forward to coming together and sharing ideas, knowledge and experiences for the benefit of all our residents. Read more https://lnkd.in/eqmX3k_q
