For all of our friends and family who don’t work in the betting and gaming industry (and maybe some who do) here are the answers to your questions about the ongoing election betting story in the UK…Feel free to ask additional questions in the comments!#generalelection #ge24 #gamblegate #bettingscandal

Remember the election betting scandal this time last year? The wheels may have moved slowly but the investigation never went away and now the Gambling Commission have charged 15 people including a former MP and a former police officer.
Charges made in General Election betting case The Gambling Commission has today charged 15 individuals with offences under the Gambling Act 2005 following an investigation into alleged cheating related to bets on the timing of the 2024 General Election. The Commission is committed to upholding the law and will continue to take robust action against illegal betting practices, including investigating and prosecuting offences. Good luck to all of our friends in the UK&I betting industry working to deliver a great Grand National experience for customers tomorrow. Hope everything goes according to plan and the months of preparation have got you to where you need to be. (And give us a call if there's anything we can help with when you do your wash-up!) #grandnational #aintree #gn2025

Like a fine wine, this particular take is getting better and better as time passes...
Wednesday morning: EGR Global publishes an article that includes a contribution from me suggesting that Robinhood are unlikely to become big players in sports betting. Wednesday afternoon: Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev tells investors that they are "keenly looking into that space" and "we’re definitely thinking about it." In my mind I'm directly and immediately influencing the strategy of a $35bn company. (Admittedly in a "let's do the opposite of whatever this guy says" kind of way.)

Congratulations to our friends Roy Greenbaum, Warren Steven and the team at Awager on delivering this major project for FanDuel. A great effort from all concerned.

Circle Squared are coming to New York! We will be represented at both NEXT.io - The World’s iGaming Community and the GeoComply Challenger Series Summit by Mick d'Ancona. Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss ways in which Circle Squared can help accelerate the growth and transformation of your business.
First of all, I'd like to apologise to anyone in the UK betting industry whom I offended in the last 48 hours by having the temerity to ask if they were going to New York next week instead of Cheltenham. I am deeply sorry and it won't happen again. Now, on to happier things... I'm delighted (genuinely!) to say that I will be at the Next.io summit next week, and I am very much looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new customers and partners. Whether you're an operator, a supplier, a start-up, or just looking for some informal guidance and advice, please reach out to me if you'd like to discuss how the Circle Squared advisory services can help you transform and grow your business.
