Everyone has the right to live life to the full. We want to ensure #NoLifeHalfLived in Scotland.
About us
We are Scotland’s largest health charity working to help people with chest, heart and stroke conditions live life to the full. Everyone should have the right to live life to the full after a stroke or diagnosis of a chest or heart condition. Many people living with our conditions experience fear, isolation and loneliness, and struggle to cope with the impact of their health condition on their every day lives. But our amazing nurses, support workers and volunteers are here to make sure no one has to recover alone. With our Community Healthcare Support Service, we ensure that people across Scotland get the support they need to live full lives with life changing health conditions.

⏳ A stroke doesn’t wait for anyone. That’s why we gave the Scottish public a stark and informative F.A.S.T. reminder. Following our recent win at the 2025 Smiley Charity Film Awards, we’ve dropped a case study on our F.A.S.T. awareness campaign. Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is delighted to be working with MJC LAW as their charity partner for 2025. 🙏 Partnerships are an important part of our work. As well as raising vital funds, this relationship will allow us to reach more people in the Paisley and Renfrewshire community and help us realise our vision of a Scotland where people with our conditions can live their lives well. Thanks so much to everyone at MJC LAW for your support and good luck with your fundraising challenges this year! 🌟 Matthew Coffield https://lnkd.in/ezk9kydn

We love working with Glasgow Life and being able to offer local people free healthcare support and advice.
Libraries are the lifeblood of our communities. Beyond books, they are welcoming spaces where people learn, find support, connect, and thrive. Investing in our libraries means investing in the people of Glasgow—strengthening local communities and shaping a more inclusive, informed society. Thanks to previous funding from the Public Library Improvement Fund, we’ve partnered with incredible organisations to bring innovative ideas to life, expanding our Health and Wellbeing services. Library users can now access invaluable support, resources, and information, creating lasting benefits for individuals and communities. 👉 Check out the slides below to see what’s available and find links to more details in the comments!

Exciting news! Paisley law firm MJC LAW has chosen Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland to be its charity partner for 2025! 🤝 As part of the partnership, members of the team will zipslide, walk and bake to contribute to the charity throughout the year! 🍰 The firm, run by solicitor Matthew Coffield, wanted to get involved and “give back” by teaming up with CHSS. Matthew said: “I work with my sister Ruth and our dad, Vincent, died of a stroke 22 years ago so he was a young man when he died. My son has been volunteering in the CHSS boutique in Kilmacolm for a few months so that made it a pretty easy choice. “Our primary aim is to, at least, raise awareness of CHSS and the conditions it supports.” A massive thank you to MJC LAW and all the best for your fundraisers in 2025! ❤️ Read more 🔗 https://shorturl.at/QEVbI

Ready to reach new heights this May? ⛰️ Entries are open for our Ben Nevis Challenge on Saturday 17th May! Last year, Marina, a dedicated volunteer at our Banchory shop, took on the challenge to mark a milestone birthday - and raised an amazing £810 for CHSS along the way. 👏 Joined by her husband Marcus, whose employer Kellas generously match funded £250, and their son Benedict, who was just 7 at the time, the trio conquered the UK's highest peak in support of people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid. 🙌 Marina said: “Everywhere you look families and colleagues are affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid. These conditions can happen at any age or time. “Doing fundraisers like this can help raise the profile of the charity and let us help more people.” Read more and sign up now 👇
