Helping people affected by neurological conditions to live life to the full.

About us

The Chilterns Neuro Centre provides much-needed support and stability for people with MS, Parkinson's and stroke survivors, as well as their families and their carers. We are an independent charity and within our local community we strive to help people gain greater control over their neurological condition so they can lead happy and healthy lives. We provide physio, hydro, oxygen, complementary and occupational therapies that are not available regularly or long-term on the NHS. Everyone at the Centre understands neurological conditions, whether it’s our expert and approachable staff, our fantastic volunteers or one of our over 600 members themselves. We provide comprehensive treatment and holistic care which include social and emotional support to over 330 people each week. . A diagnosis affects the whole family, so the Centre also supports their husbands, wives, partners, parents and children. What our members say about us.... 'MS can be really cruel but I have learnt strategies to cope which really help me’ ‘They provide me with support physically, mentally and emotionally and I look forward to coming every week’ ‘Love what they do, love how they do it, life would be even harder without them’ ‘Quite simply you are a real lifeline'. The Centre, based in Wendover, supports people with MS, Parkinson's and stoke survivors from across Buckinghamshire and neighbouring counties.

  • Did you know today is World Parkinson's Day? This is a chance to show support to the 153,000 people living with Parkinson's in the UK, the estimated 11.8 million people worldwide and the 116 members who we support. It is an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges they face every day. At the Chilterns Neuro Centre we provide a range of services for those with Parkinson's, including physical treatments, practical advice and emotional support for them as well as their carers. https://lnkd.in/exXDqcHJ

  • In March 2025, we provided direct support to 378 of our members who accessed our full range of services on 1,612 occasions, services that include physio. oxygen therapy, exercise and therapeutic leisure. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. We wouldn't be able to help people affected by MS, Parkinson's and strokes to live life to the full without such an amazing team of volunteers and supporters behind us.

  • A very big thank you to the Buckinghamshire Freemasons for inviting us to their Charity Event at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury where we were joined by The Countess Howe, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, as well as many other dignitaries. It was a truly special occasion and a chance to express our gratitude for their incredible support, to share our vision with a wider audience and to be inspired by the amazing work of other charities from across the county. Together, we're building a stronger, more compassionate community.

  • The next of our Team Pink runners this Spring is our fabulous Physiotherapist and Deputy Head of Clinical, Louise Grace, who will be running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 6 April. Louise is joined on her 26.2 mile journey by her brother, James Nixon, and they're both raising money for the Centre. Every step they take will help support our charity, making a life-changing difference to those affected by MS, Parkinson's and strokes. But they cannot do it alone. They need your support. If you are able, please sponsor them and help them cross both the finish line and their fundraising target. Every donation, big or small, will have a huge impact. Thank you. https://lnkd.in/eYgTMyJi

  • We always love to welcome visitors to our Centre and show them round so it was a pleasure to be joined by Abbi from Ashridge Home Care Ltd earlier today. Ashridge is such a wonderful supporter of our charity and has run several workshops for our carer members so this was a great opportunity to talk about how we can work even more closely together to support our members.

  • We're very excited that three dedicated members of our staff team will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise vital funds for our charity. On Sunday 6 April, our OT, Wendy Valentine, Fundraising Manager, Danielle Medd, and Facilities Assistant, Andy Simmons, will be lacing up their trainers and taking on the 13.1 mile course through the heart of the capital, passing iconic landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London and the Houses of Parliament, all while raising money to support our work. But they need your help! Every donation, big or small, will make a difference and help keep them motivated as they take on this incredible challenge. https://lnkd.in/eiWk47wP

  • Wills can be uncomfortable things to talk about, can’t they? Not many of us feel excited by the prospect of writing or updating one. However, a Will doesn’t have to be difficult, painful or expensive. Having a properly drafted Will can leave you with a satisfied feeling, knowing that those closest to you, will be taken care of in the future. Once you've looked after those closest to you, would you consider leaving a gift to our charity in your Will? Any gift you choose to leave will help hundreds of local people with neurological conditions to live life to the full, for many years to come. Thank you. https://lnkd.in/ebzuT3qy

  • In our latest member story, Kenny Martin talks about how the Centre has supported him since his MS diagnosis at the age of only 38, and empowered him to take on new challenges. “Centre staff have helped me to find coping strategies in how I deal with my MS. They provide outstanding advice and excellent feedback to help me adjust my life to benefit me better.” Thank you to everyone who has supported our charity and helped us achieve these life-changing results. https://lnkd.in/eCRPN_qC
