Last week’s BNI ed slot at Chester BNI was a bit of a harsh one, on the realities of the traffic lights, and logging 121s and training purely for the points. You have been warned!

Our second meeting of 2025 is over and, even though our target of beating 2024's numbers seems daunting, we're off to an absolute flyer. After just TWO meetings this year... - 67hrs of training have been logged by our members - 40 121 meetings have been held - 47 warmed-up business referrals have been passed - £57,402 of invoiced business has been generated We also have another new member application winging its way through the system, so we should be 30 members again next week. Well done to Simon O'Rourke for winning the trophy for the Best Weekly Presentation today, and of course to Richard Hadlow Powell for being awarded our Notable Networker of the month for his work during December. Today's featured speaker was Dave Tilston, telling us all about how he started in the carpet fitting business just over two million years ago, and about the sorts of referrals he's looking for - and why he wants to speak with landlords and letting agents. We have two meetings left in January - will you be joining Chester BNI (the largest BNI chapter in the Cheshire West region) next week at Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa on the 23rd, or the following week on the 30th January? Our networking leaders for the whole year have been revealed, now that we've had our final Chester BNI meeting of 2024. Congratulations to Darren Jamieson, Tony Wynne and Zoe Devenport. Darren has passed the most referrals this year, hitting a round 100 referrals throughout 2024. He's also brought 54 visitors this year - more than he did in 2023! Tony is a BNI machine, having logged 347 hours of training, had 115 1-2-1 meetings and delivered 10 testimonials to other members of Chester BNI this year. But it's all about the money, and money is what Zoe has helped her fellow members earn during 2024 - being thanked for an outstanding £222,735 this year. Well done to all three... and we'll have some final year stats for what Chester BNI has done for its members coming up soon. Watch this space!

Congratulations to Tony Wynne and Darren Jamieson, our network leaders for November. Tony passed the most referrals, 16, during November while Darren brought the most visitors, 7, and was thanked for the most invoiced business, £17,836. After our final meeting of 2024, on December 19th, we'll have a review of the year for Chester BNI. Who was thanked for the most business this year? Who conducted the most 121s? Who passed the most referrals? And whose referrals were worth the most? All these questions, and more, will be answered after the 19th December.
