Assignment due tomorrow! Swipes away reminder. Checks socials. Ten minutes turn to thirty; an hour slips into several. Sound familiar? This week’s Friday Reflection comes from Tim Jones ‘’Fifteen years of working together and six years since we decided to run a business together, Laura Penfold and I can still laugh about things. Our bi-annual away days are a chance for the Booost Education team to meet up with good food, a few drinks and a bit of work in between. The conversation regularly goes off on a tangent, as it did with a heated debate on fruit and veg. It turns out it's not just texture that's an issue here (banana and avocado, we're looking at you), and before long, a leaderboard of the best and worst had been drawn up. Spending time with the team in person also reveals other quirks that, as well as making us laugh (all joy and no judgement) highlight the different ways we experience the world. Were some of these quirks a little weird? Yeah, a bit. Were they wonderful? Absolutely. The staff with these traits don't just approach life differently; they also approach work differently. And that's why we love having them on the team. Big thanks to The Wood Norton Hotel for having us, we'll be back again soon.’’

Today marks World Autism Awareness Day, the official start of World Autism Acceptance Month. While we should always strive for awareness and acceptance, this month reminds us of how important it is to create inclusive environments in our schools, workplaces, and communities. If you're looking for ways to get involved or need resources, places like The National Autistic Society offer valuable tools for schools, workplaces, and families to help foster understanding and inclusivity. #WorldAutismAcceptanceMonth #AutismAcceptance #Neurodiversity #Autism

The use of technology in education is often misunderstood, but Helen Rees makes an important point: "Technology isn't about replacing effort; it's about promoting equality." By providing neurodivergent students with tools that cater to their individual needs, technology allows them to play to their strengths and approach learning in ways that work best for them. Every Friday here at Booost Education, we celebrate and reflect on what the team has achieved, both personally and professionally. Matt Jones - Account Executive, shares his highlight of the week. ''Claire Hardy and I had a fantastic time at AT Fest on Wednesday with TechEdology and felt a real energy among the audience (the sun definitely brought out the good vibes!) It was great to connect with so many passionate folks in the field and to see everyone get a bit competitive in our cheeky quiz at the end - you know who you are 😉 I always love talking about how Booost and Luna can make a real difference to learners, and I can’t wait for the next one!''
