They discovered that the processed food their dogs had eaten their whole lives may have actually caused their illness. She’s not just an expert in pet health, she’s also completely devoted to her two senior cats, Colin and Kitty. “Both of them are in their late teens now but you wouldn’t know it,” says Carolanne. “They love attention (usually at 3am!) and enjoy sunbathing in even the tiniest puddle of sunshine. They’re totally in charge of this house - we’ve built our lives around them and wouldn’t have it any other way.” We’re celebrating stories like Carolanne’s all month long, because it’s pets like Colin and Kitty that remind us why we do what we do. It has been fantastic to connect with pet professionals, trainers, pet brands, and businesses, both big and small, who are supporting this initiative. Normalising the use of yellow in training environments, workplaces, and public spaces helps reduce stigma and gives dog owners the confidence to advocate for their pets. The response from the industry has been incredible. Thank you! Our Veterinary Advisor, Carolanne Cicero, was delighted to be invited by UK Pet Food to attend the Glasgow Vet School Nutrition Symposium as a guest of the speakers. The event brought together veterinary students and industry experts from across the pet nutrition spectrum, including vegan, commercial dry, wet food, insect-based and raw feeding. Seeing students so engaged in learning and discussion was truly inspiring, with the Q&A session being a particular highlight!
