“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” — Anaïs Nin Spring always sneaks up on me. One day it’s grey skies and cold mornings. The next, daffodils are bursting up everywhere. Birdsong replaces the grey hum. And the beautiful light returns. Even here in the UK where we’re never quite sure if it’s spring or just a slightly warmer version of winter, I feel the shift. Ever more so as I get older. A quiet sense of hope. A feeling that something new is possible, even about to come. The world’s felt heavy lately. Unpredictable. Divided. Exhausting at times. But spring reminds me that: Light follows dark. Growth follows stillness. And change, however slow, is always coming. So here’s to longer days, fresh energy, and stories waiting to be told. If you’ve been holding something back, an idea, a project, a conversation, maybe this is your moment to let it bloom.

“Educating girls changes futures — but unless boys and men change too, the cycle continues.” Tonight in Belfast, we’re screening A Girl Can Touch The Sky, our award-winning documentary on gender equality and education in India, as part of the Imagine! Belfast Festival of Ideas & Politics. This film isn’t just about girls fighting for their right to learn. It’s about the bigger picture — the families, the communities, the boys and men who must be part of the shift if real change is going to happen. It’s been described as heartbreaking yet hopeful. And if you’re in Belfast, I’d love for you to come and be part of the conversation. I made this film 10 years ago about a beautiful temple in London called Bhaktivedanta Manor. It was gifted by George Harrison of the Beatles to the Hare Krishna devotees. It’s called Sanctuary For The Soul. I think many of you will appreciate what they have developed there in light of your own spiritual path (whatever shape or form that takes). If anyone is interested (London people in particular), its a great day out to enjoy the beautiful grounds and visit the temple, feed the cows, see their vegetable growing projects and maybe even go down the slides in the playground after having some delicious vegetarian food 😄 I hope you like it - https://lnkd.in/eVP8E53i Produced and directed by Be Inspired Films | Certified B Corp 2015 DOP: The wonderful Jack Maddison

“The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence. It is to act with yesterday’s logic.” – Peter Drucker In January, I began a journey. Not a course. Not a retreat. A true deep dive. Into consciousness. Into leadership. Into myself. Alongside 40 incredible humans from around the world, we’re training in conscious leadership for the next three to five years. Four immersive modules a year. Six weeks a year. All held in the beauty and stillness of Mallorca. This is not about better productivity or performance hacks. It’s about rewiring the very foundation of how we lead. Letting go of ego structures. Examining beliefs. Meeting the parts of ourselves that hold us back. And opening to a deeper presence, so we can lead with clarity, courage, and compassion. We’ve just completed our second module and the transformation already feels profound. I’m deeply grateful for this path. It’s hard. It’s honest. And it feels essential. Because the world doesn’t just need more leaders. It needs more conscious ones. #ConsciousLeadership #Transformation #InnerWork #LeadershipDevelopment #BetterWorld #Presence #ElevatedThinking

  • This was an exciting project from the end of 2024. A film to inspire educators to include commercial education for young people as standard to get them ready for the world of work.

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” - Albert Einstein Academic success is important. But is it enough? What do you think? In today’s world, young people need more than just knowledge. They need commercial awareness and the skills to navigate the workplace. The confidence to think critically, collaborate, and solve real-world problems. We loved working with Commercial Education Trust to create this powerful video. Their mission is to ensure young people are not just exam-ready, but work-ready. 🎥 Watch the video to see why commercial education matters more than ever. Let’s prepare the next generation for success—inside and outside the classroom. #Education #FutureOfWork #CommercialEducation #SkillsForSuccess Be Inspired Films | Certified B Corp 2015

“Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes.” – Maggie Kuhn Yesterday I travelled two and a half hours south to meet my good friend Simeon Quarrie and we walked and talked in the countryside for almost five hours. It’s a tough time for creatives. Many in film and TV are completely out of work. Some are even retraining for new careers. Simeon and I have both run our businesses for well over 10 years. His focus is on experiential learning and corporate training and mine on sustainability, social impact and purpose-driven storytelling. I shared how work has slowed down significantly for me. He shared how he went through the same at the end of 2023. He adapted and developed incredible new products. Hearing his journey was inspiring, especially as I’m in the middle of developing new approaches to create even greater impact for our clients. It was so refreshing to share my mind openly and freely with a peer and be seen and heard. A problem shared is a problem halved. The challenges aren’t over, but I walked away feeling lighter and more energised to keep evolving how we serve our clients. If your (or anyone you know's) sustainability / social impact initiative, or purpose-driven business needs powerful storytelling through video, animation, or podcasts, drop me a message and let’s chat.

That was embarrassing 😳 I had a very kind invite tonight to the Film Stories podcast live by Simon Brew of Den of Geek fame. Film stories magazine in hand I was standing near the entrance when four people came in together and came straight toward me. The lead person came straight up to me and said ‘hi, how are you?’ as if they knew me and hadn’t seen me in a while. I thought ‘oh no they must know me and I have no idea who they are.’ My memory is not great, I was frantically trying to figure out who they were and where we met. I proceeded to shake hands with his whole group and then the lead person said ‘thanks so much for the invite’. I immediately realised they had mistaken me for someone else, probably Simon. I awkwardly tried to explain and we all giggled slightly embarrassedly and went our own ways. I’m in the show now. It’s really good. Simon is a mega film nerd and knows everything about film. He’s also very funny and is building a community of film loving folks in Birmingham. Check out the amazing work he does at www.filmstories.co.uk
