"The evolution of business ecosystems is the transformation imperative of today. Ecosystems embrace connection and at the same time embrace fragmentation." Our CEO, Caspar Herzberg was joined by Olivier Blum on the #AVEVAWorld main stage to discuss the transformative potential of automation, #AI and platform technologies in industrial sectors and how they are empowering today's workforce. Oliver: "There is big responsibility for every company in the world when it comes to AI. When you look at the energy transition, the biggest answer is in front of us, it's called AI... The train has left the station already, people are using AI already, it's upto us to see how we can embrace it." Erik: "If you have human and machines working together... you're more likely to solve problems effectively because humans and machines have different strengths. We're in the 2nd wave of the 2nd Machine Age. In the first wave, we explained to machines step by step what needs to be done... But now, the new revolution, the machine learning revolution. The machine themselves are figuring out how to map. This is the greatest revolution in human history, in industrial history." What were your takeaways from the session?

Innovation thrives on experimentation, but the stakes can vary significantly between fields. In programming PLCs, precision is crucial—people's lives depend on it. However, in software development, iteration is not only safe but essential. You don't have to get it right the first time; it's a journey of learning. Embrace the flexibility of software to refine and improve your solutions over time! You know when you enter a room and you just know it's full of good humans? That's how I felt last week walking into AVEVA World in SF, and I'm telling you, this industry and the people in it blew me away. Here's how: 1) The industrial sector welcomed me – an outsider – with open arms. With over 3,000 attendees, including a student track, this event's impact was massive. I had the chance to chat with so many brilliant, kind professionals who were eager to share everything from quantum computing to the real challenges they’re facing. There’s a genuine drive to bring in fresh talent and shake things up. 2) The scale of AVEVA’s impact is global. Around 7,000 employees and 6,000(!!) partners all pushing for innovation and growth. It’s clear this industry is not only embracing the future, but actively shaping it. A lot of the grads even told me they were surprised by how much they love the industry. It’s not just me—there’s something special here. 3) Industrial Intelligence is a game changer. I went in only learning of this term two months before, but leaving with the understanding that it's where AI and human insight come together to optimize EVERY system we rely on (think energy, pharma, CPG, etc) More videos, interviews, and content to come, but first—spent the weekend catching up with family. Thanks to everyone I met this week for making it such a warm, welcoming experience! 💙 Huge thank you to Havilah, Matt, and the entire marketing team for making this event run smoothly—and a special shoutout to the rotational grads who made it all happen!! You guys are truly setting the standard! #AVEVAWorld #FutureOfWork #GenZ #Innovation #IndustrialIntelligence
