Welcome to Atlassian Williams Racing, competing in Formula One since 1977.
About us
Williams is one of the world’s leading Formula One teams. It exists purely to race in the top echelon of motor racing, where it’s been winning grands prix for more than three decades. The Williams name has been synonymous with top-level motorsport since the 1960s. After running teams on the sport’s nursery slopes, team patron Frank Williams founded Frank Williams (Racing Cars) in 1966 and he entered F1 in 1969 with his friend Piers Courage behind the wheel. Frank quickly earned a reputation as one of the industry’s more determined individuals and after selling his controlling interest in his original team, he established Williams Grand Prix Engineering with British engineer Patrick Head in 1977. They built their first car, the FW06, the following year and the team immediately went from strength-to-strength. Williams is now the third most successful team on the grid.

Formula 1 is defined by high-stakes teamwork and innovation— where success is measured in milliseconds. Last week our Team Principal James Vowles and 2009 F1 World Champion Jenson Button joined Atlassian Co-Founder and CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes for the opening Keynote at Team ‘25 in Anaheim, California, to explore the complex layers of collaboration and teamwork required to drive success both on and off the track. Over 4,000 technology and business attendees joined the conversation live at Team ‘25, Atlassian’s yearly gathering connecting peers to enhance work methodologies and explore innovation.

Not the result we wanted after a promising start to the season. We’ll regroup and come back fighting in Jeddah to close out the triple-header. Myprotein

A mixed Qualifying here in Bahrain. Carlos is progressing in the car every week, seeing him qualify P8 for tomorrow’s race. For Alex, it’s a frustrating result. The team didn't execute his lap as well as we could have, compromising his progress into Q2. We’ll review this as a team and take all the learnings we can.
