Subject to the outcome of the consultation, this guidance will be finalised and published alongside the new Architects Code later this year. The Architects Register is the definitive list of all UK architects. If someone is not on the Register, they are not an architect – it’s as simple as that. ARB is currently consulting on draft guidance for Professional Indemnity Insurance. This guidance has been developed to support architects in complying with Standard 4 of the new Architects Code: architects must carry out their work effectively, exercising skill and diligence. This guidance is being consulted on alongside guidance for Dealing with Complaints and Terms of Engagement. Subject to the outcome of the consultation, this guidance will be finalised and published alongside the new Code this summer, and further draft guidance will be consulted on later this year.
