  • Here's a look back on when we kicked off our first event as part of a year-long partnership with Medik8, which is built around collaboration and purpose. The Shaping The Future Dinner event was inspired by Medik8's commitment to sustainable beauty, ethical practices, and scientific expertise, and across three impactful discussions, we explored how businesses can innovate responsibly and champion a more sustainable future.   Here are our key takeaways across three impactful discussions, with incredible speakers from Medik8, Google, The British Beauty Council and Space NK:   💥 A New Era of Ethical Leadership: Ethical values should guide every decision, from product development to hiring, ensuring that businesses not only grow but do so in a way that reflects their mission of sustainability and inclusion.   💥 The Personalisation Revolution: With a 15% increase in daily searches for new, highly specific products personalisation tools—like AI-driven skincare routines—are transforming customer experiences and boosting conversion rates.   💥 Collaboration Over Competition: Initiatives like the the British Beauty Council's Great British Beauty Cleanup show how brands, retailers, and consumers can unite to make a real environmental impact.    💥 Results Without Compromise: Medik8's proactive approach to sustainability, through their B Corp status and focus on reducing emissions and improving packaging, shows that business success and environmental responsibility can go hand-in-hand.    We'd like to give a massive speakers to all of the amazing guests who attended and speakers involved. • Last week we hosted the Elevate Board Connector at our AllBright Lounge. This event for senior members was led by our Global Head of Learning and Experience Alice Olins with our CEO, Viviane Paxinos, and joined by Mina Ames Senior Executive Search Consultant, Linda Summers Head of Practise, Beauty and Luxury, Audeliss, Sim Scavazza Chair and NED advisor and 🌮🌯 Jennifer Roebuck Chair, NED, advisor and CMO. The discussion focused on providing guidance for women pursuing board roles, and here’s what the panel had to share: 🌟Build sector-specific expertise: Begin preparing for board roles early in your career. Strong reading and editing abilities, paired with the confidence to ask critical questions, are essential to effective board contribution. 🌟Building confidence and articulating value: Knowing your value and self-awareness are essential. You must understand and own your unique value proposition before stepping into the boardroom. 🌟Navigating board competition and diversity: Being a woman and/or an ethnic minority brings a valuable and needed perspective to the boardroom- leverage this. Attend stakeholder panels and open days to better understand board expectations and demonstrate your strategic alignment. 🌟Balancing experience and passion: Align your passion with purpose. A personal passion can enhance board contribution when aligned with the organisation’s mission Find out more about our Elevate to the Board programme here: https://lnkd.in/dMRHhq_C

This week, we gathered for another unforgettable Shaping the Future Lead On dinner, in partnership with Clearpay (Afterpay). Over three courses and three thought-provoking discussions, we explored how brands can keep up with ever-evolving consumer expectations.   From harnessing tech for hyper-personalisation to tapping into the power of niche communities, the conversation was packed with insights from industry leaders at Savvy Marketing, FARFETCH, Google, and Clearpay. Here are some of the biggest takeaways:   ➡️ Personalisation and tech: Consumers now expect shopping experiences tailored just for them. Thanks to multimodal tech (text, images, video), AI can now suggest outfits based on skin tone, body shape, or even mood. The future of retail? It’s hyper-personalised. 💳 Boosting Sales with Flexible Payments: 40% of UK shoppers would visit stores more if BNPL options like Clearpay were available, and nearly half prioritise interest-free financing. Retailers who offer BNPL can increase sales, improve conversions, and meet growing demand for payment flexibility. 💸 The Silver Generation: Women 50+ are an economic powerhouse in fashion and beauty. Resilient even in tough times, they prioritise versatility over fleeting trends—a shift brands can’t afford to ignore. 💡 Data & niche communities: First-party data is unlocking deep, emotional connections between brands and their customers. The secret? Personalized storytelling that resonates with tight-knit communities. 📊 Data gaps: Many brands are still making decisions without the full picture. High-quality, accurate data—not assumptions—is the key to truly understanding consumer behavior. 🎯 Customer personas vs. Reality: Too often, brands market to an "ideal customer" instead of their actual audience. The key to long-term success? A smarter balance between attracting new buyers and keeping loyal customers engaged.   A huge thank you to our incredible speakers Catherine S., Ines Clark, Richard Bayer, Kathy Lee, and Viviane Paxinos and to everyone who joined us for an evening of great food, powerful insights, and inspiring conversation. Who’s joining us for the next one?

  • The women’s health and wellness industry is worth $360 billion in the US alone. Menopause, sexual health, healthy aging, menstruation, contraception, LGBTQ health, maternal health, and fertility, all add up to that $360 billion figure.   Menopause in particular is a key area, which is estimated to be worth $131 billion. This has increased rapidly from the $17 billion global market measured in 2023.   Yet 3/4s of women who seek medical treatment for menopausal related issues remain untreated. So what does this mean for women’s health and wellness? Why is it that an industry that is so beneficial economically and health wise remains under researched and under funded?   Our upcoming Live Well festival will explore these important topics, early bird tickets are available to purchase here: https://lnkd.in/eYXwinmx Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ezjqHuix

  • Last week our CEO Viviane Paxinos and Senior Partnerships Manager Sophie Hardy had the pleasure of attending and speaking at Anthropy UK 2025, a gathering of future makers. It was a brilliant few days and Viv and Sophie particularly enjoyed the insights around leadership in the age of uncertainty.    🔑 Key insights:   1️⃣ Speed is your competitive advantage. Speed isn't just about moving fast, it's about adapting faster than your competitors. In today's landscape, hesitation is the real risk.   2️⃣ Vision matters more than ever. "The job of the leader is to get everybody to buy into that vision. The greatest leaders have got millions of people to buy into their plan."   3️⃣ Embrace radical adaptability. Leaders must balance strategic vision with the ability to pivot quickly. It's not about having a perfect plan, but about being mentally prepared for constant change.   💡 Bonus takeaway: In an era of uncertainty, leadership is less about having all the answers and more about: - Creating a compelling narrative - Empowering your team - Staying true to core values - Remaining relentlessly optimistic - Moving at the speed of change   The leaders who will thrive aren't those who resist change, but those who see it as an opportunity to reimagine what's possible.   What's your approach to leading through uncertainty? 👇
