Let’s talk about home safety, something we often always over look even when we spend so much of our time focusing on others! I moved into a new build home 5 years ago and yes it was built to a reasonably decent standard, but over the last few weeks I’ve had issues with the hard wired smoke alarms, quick google and search across Facebook trade groups seems they are popular with developers because they are cheap, but I had to replace it just under 5 years before its own shelf life. (Zoom in under the well placed emoji) Should we expect better from manufacturers ? Is cheap really worth it if it lasts half the expected time? 🤷🏼♂️ Instead I bought 2 replacements of another brand which I’ve never used for fire, but if they are anything like to the CO alarms I have high hopes. Don’t make replacing devices that can save you and your families lives a tick box excercise, do a little research before you commit 😍 #FireSafety #House #Home #Family #Developers #Housebuilders #Safehome
