At Adventa, our story began with a genuine passion for new and progressive technologies, intrigued as to how new inventions, innovations and progressions in areas such as The Internet of things, Virtual Reality, Extended Reality, Spatial Computing and Artificial Intelligence are poised to transform how we live and work in the future. Our founder saw a need to provide a range of light touch services to help organisations gain a better initial understanding of basics of these new technologies, and then a means to efficiently explore the opportunities and risks alike. We offer three simple services 1. Inform & Educate - Short session to up-skill your board or teams on what the new technologies do and how they may transform our lives. Online or in-person, Jargon-free session to ensure we up-skill and take your organisation and people with us on our journeys into the future. 2. Innovation Workshops - Short workshops exploring the tech and trends currently in play, defining the problem statements and then exploring the options, Considering the many, failing fast on the noise and then focusing in on the few. Summarising our findings in a clear laydown and pathway your teams can then take forward as required. We are about efficiency and empowerment, not selling days or reports. 3. Project & Strategy Support - bring a futurist and technology though leader to your next research or review project, with near 30 years of experience and access to an wider range of subject matter experts, see us as a Chief Transformation Officer, or Chief Technology Officer you can draft in just for the project or technology review as required, as a service. Our Approach At Adventa, we believe that collaboration is key to success. We work closely with our clients to understand their challenges and goals, and we then work closely with your people to bring a blend of industry and technology experts to the table to review and consider all possibilities.

    In my 2022 book The Future of Us, I explored the potential of XR solutions to reshape the way we live and interact in the future. Now, with Apple’s Vision Pro and Meta’s Orion solutions emerging, it’s exciting to see these predictions becoming a reality.   So, is the future of immersive tech finally here? In a word, no. Well, not quite just yet, at least.   While these are truly incredible solutions and developments, there are already some big questions around the actual use cases, the lack of practical applications, and concerns over the 'street cred' of these early solutions.   But it's important to stress that this was always going to happen, and that these IMO are still very early prototypes of what 'true' Spatial Computing solutions will eventually be like.     So how did we all fare yesterday with the CrowdStrike global IT outages?   - Were you impacted personally? - Were your people able to carry on doing their jobs? - Were you still able to service and support your customers?   While cloud issues are very, very rare, yesterday acts as a reminder to us all of just how invested and reliant we are on cloud technology.    And while the focus of many posts yesterday talked about alternative technologies… what about the process, the short-term workarounds and customer communications? When did we last visit the backup options, but more importantly the Disaster Recover process and our 'on the day' execution and activity plans?    As a Futurist I'll call it out that we had better get used to outages…Trust me on this one!  Whether it's due to software patches, cyber threats in the rise of quantum computing, capacity issues, or future power demand in the growth of AI, class yesterday as a dress rehearsal and a call to action to now revisit our DR plans and people processes   At Adventa we specialise in Innovation Workshops to not only seek out the next Unicorn of an idea, but also the marginal gains of tweaking a process, or in this case…. defining the process in the event of a disaster.   Why not let us come in and run a half-day innovation workshop with some of your people to explore how innovation can help you turn disaster into managed activity, and who knows possible opportunities…. or at the very least controls ready for the next time.    Drop me a DM or click through our website, and we can set up a quick virtual coffee to tell you more and share some examples and customer feedback.  #Innovation #DRPlanning #DisasterRecovery #GlobalOutage #ITOutage #crowdstrike #dontpanic
