#AdTechEconomicForum After attending the London edition, I couldn't miss the NY event - even if #jetBlue's delays turned it into a 24-hour journey 🤬. Still, it was absolutely worth it! Me flying from London and Aggrey Ambenge , our NY-based AdTonosS VP of Programmatic also nicely connects those two events. A different formula, as there were no startups pitching, but obviously the quality of discussions at the forum was exceptional. A few highlights that stood out for me: - Mathieu Roche from ID5.io, uniquely spotlighting audio adtech - a topic close to my heart (not to mention addressing addressibility in post-cookie world!) - Insightful M&A conversation led by John Kunschner from Landmark Ventures, featuring Sheila Spence from Spotify and Brad Adelman from Kargo, sharing valuable insights into their investment strategies - the consolidation is there, but only for bravest and biggest, the others will become (as summarized by Rishad Tobaccowala) plankton. And, finding common ground with Andrew Casale, CEO at Index Exchange -not just to literally everything he said, but it occured we both began by building websites for profit back in the early '90s, quickly recognizing opportunities within digital advertising - and the Index strategy to offer to publishers the most efficient #SSP with unparrareled customer service. We also share same belief that there is room for many DSPs, but not for many SSPs. The New York edition had a different vibe compared to London, but excitingly, Tom & Rob hinted at expanding the AdTech Economic Forum to even more cities in the US and Europe.
