UNICEF Uganda is honoured to be part of a wider United Nations in Uganda family effort supported by the Government of Japan’s US$6.6 million contribution to Uganda. Through this multi-agency humanitarian response, #UNICEF has received US$1.08 million to improve access to lifesaving services for refugee and host communities in Kiryandongo District. UNICEF’s interventions include: ✅ Climate-resilient WASH services ✅ Life-saving nutrition for children under 5 ✅ Inclusive support that strengthens systems and promotes social cohesion This is part of a joint effort alongside our sister agencies—UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, World Food Programme, UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme), IOM - UN Migration, and FAO—working together with the Government of Uganda. We extend our deepest appreciation to the people and Government of Japan for their continued trust and partnership.
