Exciting Update from the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) Southern Highland Zone (SHZ)! Our team recently conducted a visit to Katavi Region, aimed at strengthening relationships with local councils and investors, while identifying promising investment opportunities. The visit kicked off with a courtesy call to the Regional Office and was followed by insightful site visits in Tanganyika District. During these visits, we assessed various registered and non-registered projects, unlocking new potentials for growth and development. A highlight of our visit was the exploration of Karema Port. With its strategic importance for trade and commerce, we see significant investment potential here and are excited about the possibilities it presents for the region. Our engagement with project stakeholders was particularly rewarding as we listened attentively to their challenges and provided immediate resolutions where possible. At TIC, we are committed to fostering positive relationships and supporting initiatives that drive economic growth. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to work towards a brighter future for the Katavi Region and beyond!

Today, we had the privilege of participating in the International Seminar on Transport Asset Management, organized by the World Roads Association, the Tanzania Roads Association, and the Ministry of Works. This esteemed event featured exhibitions from several key institutions, including the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC). We were honored to have the opportunity to deliver a concise five-minute presentation about TIC. During this presentation, we outlined our roles and mandates, highlighted the procedures for registering investment projects, and detailed the incentives available to investors. This was presented to an audience comprising civil and structural engineers, representatives from both international and national engineering companies, and stakeholders in road infrastructure.

The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) continues to enhance services for investors in the country. Recently, through our Monitoring and Facilitation Department , we've reached out to several investors via our headquarters and regional offices. We successfully held meetings with various projects, including Herocean Industrial Park, Ngano Limited (Manyara), Cate Hotel, Kilombero Sugar, and Wilmar Rice (Morogoro). The objective of these meetings was to listen to the investors, provide advice, and address various challenges arising in their respective investment sectors. TIC is tasked to visit various projects to assess their progress. This is part of our responsibilities to improve the investment climate in the country. In executing these evaluations and follow-ups, the aftercare unit, one-stop facilitation Centre, Land Desk, and other key unit have played a significant role in this special visit. Our main goal is to ensure that we maintain a conducive investment environment in Tanzania and continue to contribute to the nation's economic prosperity.
