🥉 Volkswagen Wolves earn bronze at the first Amateur Slovak Ice Hockey Championship On April 11–12, the inaugural #AmateurSlovakIceHockeyChampionship was held at the Vladimír Dzurilla Ice Rink in Bratislava – and our company team, #VolkswagenWolves, proudly took part. Composed of players from our internal hockey league, the team faced off against strong regional selections and showed exceptional #teamwork and determination. After advancing from the group stage and a tough semifinal, our players secured third place in a thrilling bronze medal match decided by penalty shootouts. 🏒 We’re proud of their success and the strong team spirit they brought to the ice.

🏒 Volkswagen Slovakia Wolves vs. Lakers Ice Hockey Team – 13:2 🏆 At the end of March, our #icehockey team faced a special opponent – the 🇨🇦 team, Lakers Ice Hockey Team! Although it was a friendly match, both teams played with great passion, and our players delivered an outstanding performance, securing a remarkable victory. The first goal came just 10 minutes into the game, and this victory marked our highest-ever win against #Canada, improving our head-to-head record to 3 wins and 5 losses. Thanks to our hockey team for a great performance on the ice 💪

🩸 Health Days at Volkswagen Slovakia – Efficient Care Right at the Workplace To mark #WorldHealthDay, we offered our employees in the Bratislava and Martin plants the opportunity to undergo a quick health check – directly at their workplace, from just a single drop of blood, and in less than 10 minutes. The testing covered key health indicators such as cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, hemoglobin, and PSA levels. The results provided valuable insights into employees’ current health and encouraged them to take further steps if needed. 🩺 Supporting health and #prevention is an essential part of our company culture – that’s why we create opportunities to take care of yourself, even during the workday.

#DenNarcisov bloomed at Volkswagen Slovakia 💛🌼 On this meaningful day, as part of the nationwide initiative by #LigaProtiRakovine, our colleagues pinned yellow daffodils to their shirts — a quiet yet powerful gesture of solidarity. The small flower may seem simple, but it carries deep meaning. It’s a symbol of compassion, hope, and human connection. Our workplace transformed into a space filled with empathy – hundreds of employees participated. Together, we created a moment that reminded us how much strength is in unity 🫶

This March, #VolkswagenSlovakia celebrated the Month of Books by bringing back our internal initiative “OD BOOKA DO BOOKA” The idea was simple: employees could exchange books they had already read for new ones, giving old stories a second life ♻️ Not only did this initiative promote reading and knowledge-sharing, but it also supported our ongoing commitment to #sustainability. Through this exchange, we gave hundreds of books a new home and contributed to a more sustainable way of enjoying literature 📚

💡 Young Innovators at the 2025 Engineering Olympiad! Volkswagen Slovakia is proud to support young technical talents as they are the ones shaping the future of industry and innovation. This year, the best high school students gathered at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at STU in Bratislava to present their projects in fields such as alternative propulsion, #automation, #cybersecurity, and #robotics 🦾 Their ideas and solutions proved that the future of #technology is in good hands 🚀 The innovations showcased in the competition demonstrate that the younger generation thinks ahead, seeks efficient solutions, and embraces challenges. As a partner of the competition, we believe that supporting technical education is essential for the development of both industry and society, and - we are proud to be part of this journey.
