Role Description
This role requires someone that understands luxury travel and the power of experiential adventures. They need to be a self-starter who puts looking after clients first and foremost. Responsibilities include:
· Planning and Sales: Design high-end trips for clients, meeting personal sales and revenue targets.
· Support and Collaboration: Assist product team with itinerary building and share knowledge.
· Marketing and Strategy: Participate in marketing activities and sales strategy development.
· Supplier Relations: Source and negotiate commission rates with hotels and travel experiences, focusing on Asia and Europe. Build and maintain supplier relationships, visiting properties as necessary.
· Client Management: Manage client relationships, maintain a CRM and seek new business opportunities.
· Networking: Attend business-related networking events and functions.
Required Experience and Skills
· Industry Experience: 3-4 years in the travel industry.
· Travel and Hospitality Passion: A strong interest in travel and luxury hospitality.
· Sales Success: Proven track record of meeting sales KPIs.
· Destination Knowledge: Expertise in European and Asian travel products.
· Travel Willingness: Open to travelling abroad as needed.
· Professionalism: Ability to represent the company, coach team members, and work under pressure.
· Interpersonal Skills: Excellent team player with innovative thinking and attention to detail.
· Technical Proficiency: Skilled in IT applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Communication Skills: Excellent English spoken and writing skills.
· Relationship Building: Ability to build relationships and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Travel Consultant at Lightfoot Travel. As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for managing travel arrangements, providing excellent customer service, making reservations, and assisting with travel management. The role supports the overall marketing strategy for the Singapore market and you will assist Head of Business Development for the Region as well as collaborate with the Brand Manager. While the role is based in Singapore, there is flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
Travel Management and Travel Planning skills
Experience in customer service and reservations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Knowledge of different travel destinations and cultures
Experience with travel booking systems and software
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
Event planning and execution such as scheduling and the production of supporting materials
Relations with lifestyle/ travel media in Singapore (not essential)
