We had a great time coming together for iftar with our portfolio companies and ecosystem partners last week, sharing great conversations over good food this Ramadan. Beyond the dinner and as part of our commitment to giving back, we’re also investing in the future—driving a donation initiative in partnership with Hoshizora Foundation to support future female leaders by providing scholarships to help them stay in school and reach their dreams. We would like to thank everyone who has joined us in this effort. We wish everyone a joyous celebration and a blessed Eid.

We saw incredible energy at the Build Startup Festival this week and this is proof that the Philippine startup ecosystem is charging ahead. The momentum is strong, and the raw spirit of its founders was on full display. But while the ecosystem is evolving, there’s still plenty of room to grow. Scaling beyond the local market remains a challenge, and founders have to navigate regulatory hurdles, funding gaps, and the realities of expansion with a long-term mindset. The path won’t be easy, but those who stay persistent, adapt fast, and build with resilience will be the ones to shape the future of startups in the Philippines.
