What’s it like inside the newly open Singapore Rail Test Centre (#SRTC)? Watch our video for a first look of its interior and understand the facility’s capabilities 👉 https://lnkd.in/ggPTXkmN   Featuring three test tracks to assess trains for their speed, performance and integration, as well as endurance, the SRTC can accommodate various signalling and communication systems used across the MRT network. With the SRTC, we can now conduct round-the-clock testing of trains in a controlled and localised environment, freeing up engineering time for other maintenance works. This will help us further enhance the reliability and efficiency of the rail network.   #FunFact SRTC is green too! With sustainable features such as smart lighting control, solar photovoltaic panels and a hybrid cooling system, it has received BCA’s Green Mark Platinum Certification!

While you were sleeping, we completed the third Jurong Region Line (#JRL) viaduct crossing an expressway! #DidYouKnow JRL has a total of 6 viaducts crossing 2 expressways? Building them is no easy feat as very careful planning and coordination with various teams is required to ensure that works proceed safely & smoothly. This includes carrying out construction at night to reduce traffic disruptions. The last JRL viaduct crossing the PIE will be completed by Q2 2025. Thereafter, works for the viaducts crossing AYE will begin. Look forward to the JRL, Singapore's 7th MRT line, coming your way soon!

Our GLIDE system seamlessly manages over 2,700 traffic lights across the island. Meet PathWatcher: Our new bicycle-mounted automated footpath inspection system (AFIS).   AFIS uses #AI machine learning to capture and process images of defects.
