🏉 What an electrifying afternoon it was at the HSBC SVNS SGP 2025! For the second year running, we brought our ISCA student members, SCAQ candidates, and ISCA staff to join in the annual rugby sevens event, where we showed up with energy, the vibes, and our unwavering team spirit to the festivities! From front-row views and high-energy cheers to bonding over snacks, drinks, and dance cam features (yes, we made it again! 😉), every moment was packed with fun, laughter, and camaraderie. Just like winners Fiji (Men’s Team) and New Zealand (Women’s Team), we at ISCA are always ready to bring our A-game, whether it's on the field or in the profession. 💪 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and community. If you missed this year’s action, don’t worry, more exciting engagement events are on the way. Let’s keep the momentum going as we continue to connect, grow, and cheer each other on, on and off the field! 🔥 Missed out on this event? No problem! Where is the best chicken rice in Singapore, and what does it have to do with bankruptcy, social justice...and sugar daddies?? 👀 We're proud to add another exciting book to our library! 📖 Titled 'Crossings: The Best Hainanese Chicken Rice And Other Life Dilemmas', our ISCA Distinguished Lifetime Member Mr Willie Cheng brings to us 12 tales of ordinary people thrust into predicaments, often of their own making. At these critical crossings, their choices can reshape their futures in unexpected and irreversible ways. Each story invites reflection on the pivotal crossings we all face, and remind us that even the smallest action can ripple into unforeseen consequences - sometimes quietly, sometimes explosively. Check out the book at our Members' Lounge on Level 2, or pick up a copy for yourself at bookstores today! #ISCA #DifferenceMakers #Accounting #Accountancy Fann Kor | Zoey Xie | Suat Lay Soh | Qiu Lin Fua | Terence Lam | Edmund Liu | Wei Luo Tan | Melissa Meishan Wu | Jezz Chew

✍️ ISCA comments on International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB)’s “Post-Exposure Consultation: Invitation to Comment Before IAASB Finalises Narrow Scope Amendments to International Standards on Quality Management (ISQMs) and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) as a Result of Revisions to Definitions of Listed Entity and Public Interest Entity (PIE) in the IESBA Code”. 🔎 IAASB’s Post-Exposure Consultation: https://lnkd.in/d3nfPADj We are generally supportive of IAASB’s revised position and provided the following recommendations to support implementation: 📌 To allow early adoption to provide firms an option to align the definition of Publicly Traded Entity (PTE) across the ethics standards (effective from 15 December 2024) and auditing standards. 📌 To apply the differential auditing requirements to PIEs conditionally (instead of applying them to all PIEs), based on risk profile and jurisdictional scope. The definition of PIE has not been adopted for the ISQMs and ISAs and therefore the extant differential requirements that apply to listed entities will only apply to PTEs for now. This development is aligned to the position taken in our feedback to IAASB submitted in April 2024 on the previous exposure draft, which highlighted concerns about imposing differential requirements to all PIEs (including subjecting audits of PIEs to engagement quality review and reporting on KAMs, among other requirements). 🔎 Explore full feedback here: https://lnkd.in/gKYXxWST 🔎 Read exposure draft of the IAASB PIE Track 2 Project for the IAASB’s original position: https://lnkd.in/gt97BWsV 🔎 Find out more about IESBA PIE Revisions here: https://lnkd.in/ef34wVMK 💥 Read ISCA’s response to IAASB’s original position here: https://lnkd.in/gvn4_36h #ISCA #DifferenceMakers #Accountancy #Accounting #Audit #AuditStandards #EthicStandards Terence Lam | Alice Tan | Jezz Chew | Felicia Tay | Shi Zhen Ng | Wang Zhumei | Donaphan Boey
