On the 24th of January, RI.Logistica hosted a delegation at European Spallation Source ERIC send by the DG of the Swedish Customs Authorities represented by: Ulrika Scholander, Enhetschef Kontroll Syd, Jonas Nilsson, Enhetschef Uppbörd Syd and Sylwia Schmidt-Niedzielska, Gruppchef Kontroll Syd. On the agenda was gaining insight in the building and running of a research institute and related customs challenges like; ▸ Samples getting delayed and possible destroyed upon getting stopped in customs ▸ General relief of customs duty ▸ New procedure for lending of equipment replacing ATA-Carnet and Temporary import/Export The meeting was very constructive and the next step is to validate the suggested changes that would enable a more cost efficient customs administration focusing on delivering scientific results. This precedes a scheduled meeting in Brussels on the 19th of February with DG Taxud, DG R&I and WCO on the same topics where the RI. Logistica Chairman of the board, Jörgen Larsson and CEO, Jan Lundin will participate. ...To be continued.... #ResearchInfrastructure #Customs #Logistics #Innovation #EuropeanResearch #ESS #CustomsChallenges #ScientificCollaboration #RILogistica #DGTaxud #ResearchAndInnovation #SupplyChain #InternationalTrade

🎉 Thrilled to Share a Milestone in Supporting Ukrainian Science! On Saturday, December 7th, the first donation of scientific equipment from CERN arrived at the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology (KIPT) in Ukraine! 🇺🇦 This initial shipment, consisting of six computers generously donated by CERN, was delivered to Kharkiv—a pivotal scientific hub in Eastern Ukraine. This was made possible through a collaborative effort between our EU-funded #EURIZON project and the Copenhagen-based nonprofit association RI.Logistica! 💡 Through this newly established donation corridor, the European research community can sustainably support Ukrainian research facilities that have been heavily affected by the ongoing war. By donating used or surplus scientific materials and tools, we can help bridge the gap for these scientists who remain steadfast in their commitment to conducting excellent research despite incredibly challenging conditions. 📦 This first shipment is just the beginning! European research institutions, Universities and commercial suppliers are now encouraged to register surplus equipment, tools, or instruments they are willing to donate on our platform. For more information on how to donate or support, please visit https://lnkd.in/dSRC7jpp !Every contribution matters and helps preserve the scientific efforts of Ukrainian researchers as they navigate immense challenges! Let's come together to support the pursuit of knowledge and innovation! 🙌 #ScienceForUkraine #Solidarity #ScientificCollaboration #ResearchSupport EURIZON extends warm appreciation to the many dedicated individuals who contributed to this initiative: CERN: Latchezar Betev, Stephanie Krattinger NSC KIPT: Viktor Trubnikov, Stanislav Sashenko, Sergii Pugach, Volodymyr Chizhov RI.Logistica Team: Cassandra Waad, Jörgen Larsson, Jimmy Binderup Andersen Pictures: @ Courtesy of Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology (KIPT)
