  • Ever tried parallel parking a giant articulated vehicle? It's not exactly a walk in the park! 😉 In industries like construction, forestry, and mining, precision steering for articulated vehicles is a must-have. Traditional mechanisms fall short, but sensor-based solutions are here to save the day! 🔹 Better control – Sensors keep steering precise, so your machine moves like a pro. 🔹 Safer operations – Real-time data means smoother turns, better stability, and fewer near-misses. 🔹 Less wear & tear – Your equipment lasts longer, and your maintenance team? They’ll thank you. Smart sensors for smarter steering – experience enhanced accuracy, greater efficiency, and less wear! 🌟 Ready to upgrade your machine? Our sensor expert, Olle Lindkvist, is here to help you find the perfect solution.

  • Yesterday, our team gathered for a brainstorming session at our Uppsala office. Armed with coffee and creativity, we jumped right into a comprehensive SWOT analysis, exploring our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Our discussions were lively and insightful, leaving us stronger and more prepared for the future. 💪 A huge shoutout to erik lejman for brilliantly guiding us through this process! 🌟

  • A remarkable piece of history – an antique motor with a story to tell 🌟 Founded by Thomas B. Thrige in 1894, Thrige Electric (now T-T Electric) has a rich legacy. Fast forward to 1994, during construction work in Odense, Denmark, an old DC motor was discovered beneath the floorboards of an industrial building. This motor, with serial number 16 and a power of 0.4 hp (300 W), was manufactured by Thrige. The motor was brought to Regal Components in Uppsala, Sweden, where it was carefully restored. Remarkably, it still retains its original windings, commutator, and brush holders. Today, it is a cherished antique. Our partnership with T-T Electric dates back to the start of Regal Components AB and even further, to the early days of our founder Anders G. Jonsson's career, over 40 years ago. 👉 Need to chat about modern industrial motors? Reach out to us at info@regal.se – we'd love to hear from you!

  • Ready to Supercharge Your Machinery? 🔋 Electrifying the hydraulics in mobile equipment can offer significant benefits and make your system design a breeze! Traditional hydraulic systems, driven directly by a combustion engine, are like trying to juggle while riding a unicycle – limited flexibility and a lot to consider. But fear not! Stand-alone systems powered by highly efficient variable-speed electric motors are here to save the day. Benefits of electrified hydraulic systems include: 🔹 Energy Conservation: Intelligent controls deliver only the necessary flow, when needed. No more wasted energy. 🔹 Simplified System Design: Fewer consumers to worry about and full control of the prime mover's speed and torque. 🔹 Environmental Impact: Reduces harmful emissions and noise levels, making your work environment sustainable and healthier. Choosing electrified machinery can be daunting, but smart hybrid technology like electrified hydraulics offers a balanced step forward. 👉 Want to learn more about smarter hydraulics? • Ever wondered what the difference is between a sensor, a transducer, and a transmitter? You're not alone! 😁 These terms often get tossed around like confetti, but they actually mean different things. Here is a mini brief to clear up the confusion. SENSOR A sensor measures a physical quantity (like temperature or light) and converts it to a readable output. But remember, ‘readable’ doesn’t always mean ‘useful’. Think of it as a change in resistance. TRANSDUCER A transducer converts one form of energy to another. It takes that readable output and makes it useful, like turning 0-10V into something you can actually use. SENSOR + TRANSDUCER COMBO Most devices have both a sensor and signal conditioning. So, is it a sensor or a transducer? It’s both! The term depends on the context. For position measurement, it’s usually called a sensor. For pressure, level, or flow, it’s a transducer. And sometimes, it’s even called a transmitter. TRANSMITTER A transmitter applies signal conditioning. It converts the signal from the sensor into something like 4-20 mA or a digital output. So, next time you hear these terms, you’ll know exactly what they mean. 👉 Stay tuned for more fun insights!
