How do you make safety products stand out in a crowded market? For us at Ejendals, it’s about more than just providing protection – it’s about designing products that workers are excited to wear.
Back in the 80s, Ejendals introduced gloves so functional and groundbreaking that workers wrote their names on the cuffs to avoid losing them. This commitment to user-focused solutions still drives us today.
Anna Hedvall, our Industrial Designer, emphasizes that today’s safety product users seek both functionality and aesthetics, driving Anna and our product developers to create more visually appealing products.
📏When designing the new TEGERA® Oil Grip Gloves, Anna faced limitations due to the manufacturing methods for knitted gloves, but the team still made a strong impact: “My intention was to make a print artwork that was easy to read, with clear information but with a modern look. I think we succeeded.”
But as said, style is just one part of the puzzle: “Functionality always comes first. It’s crucial to understand how and where a glove will be used. Every extra patch, seam, and fabric layer affects how the glove fits and performs.”
Anna and her team’s work plays a key role in Ejendals' ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and innovative products that workers not only need – but truly value and expect today. 🌍
