Not the 𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑟 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑒𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑟 in pictures 📸 Yesterday evening we hosted in our office 🏢 a special seminar with around 30 final year students of the Bucharest Cybernetics University invited here by their university teaching assistants, Mete-Emre Abduraman and Ionescu Stefan. A handful of colleagues shared inspiring stories about their work and our engineering culture, the surprising jobs they held before becoming engineers (e.g. food delivery courier 🤘🏼), and the opportunities that ING Hubs Romania offers young talents – {Dev}School, International Talent Programme (ITP) – and answered the audience’s most burning questions about the IT industry. 🙏❤️Thank you all for joining and kudos to our colleagues who played hosts! We believe in creating space for mutually rewarding conversations between active professionals and those who are taking their first steps into the tech world we know and love.

𝐋𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫! 🎶 This edition, like previous ones, follows the logic of circular economy, and makes it easier for colleagues to: ✔️ declutter their homes by bringing in toys, books, gadgets, clothes that no longer serve them. ✔️ shop: someone else in our community picks up the item(s) they need in exchange for the amount they set. ✔️ donate: all proceeds and items that don't get picked up go to Carusel NGO. 🙏🏻♻️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭? We breathe new life into preloved items, avoid overconsumption, support a local NGO and contribute to a more sustainable future while engaging our community in a fun way.

𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 ‘𝟐𝟓, day #3 | 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Sustainability is not only about the environment, it’s also about people. So today we set up a speed dating scenario and our colleagues got to connect with representatives of local NGOs to learn more about their work and ways to contribute. 💡NGOs play a crucial role in tackling social and environmental challenges. They offer direct assistance to vulnerable communities, advocate for policy change, and drive initiatives that create lasting impact. 𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚❤️𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐬 We actively partner to fund projects on education, social inclusion, environmental protection. Our colleagues volunteer, donate, get involved, knowing their energy is put to good use through our trusted partners, and you can also contribute: ✅ Volunteer with an organisation that aligns with your values. ✅ Redirect 3.5% of your income tax to an NGO through 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐳𝐚.𝐫𝐨 (no later than 26 May). ✅ If you can, donate to causes that make a difference. _______ 💞🌏🌳 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑆𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑊𝑒𝑒𝑘 ’25 𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑜𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔: 𝑇𝑜 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑐𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑑𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑏𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑠𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑛𝑒𝑡 𝑧𝑒𝑟𝑜. For the third year in a row, ING is celebrating Sustainability Week, and we’re excited to kick off 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 ‘𝟐𝟓 with a series of activities meant to raise awareness and bring together like-minded colleagues to learn and act toward a more sustainable future. Today we’ve had a 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 🍿 with colleagues. 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍 is an inspiring documentary that follows eight kids on a road trip across Europe in search of real climate solutions, challenging business leaders about the role sustainability plays in their companies' futures. One of the leaders they interview is Steven van Rijswijk, chief executive officer of ING. The full feature film was already shown at the United Nations and several festivals across the world. It is set to hit cinemas and more festivals globally starting mid-2025. 👇🏼 👀 Check out the trailer https://lnkd.in/duwsZa3W 🎬🌏🌳 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 ‘𝟐𝟓 𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑜𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔: ✔️𝑇𝑜 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑐𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑑𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑏𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑠𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑛𝑒𝑡 𝑧𝑒𝑟𝑜. ✔️𝑇𝑜 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒖𝒑 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝑤𝑒’𝑟𝑒 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑒𝑐ℎ𝑛𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑎 𝑙𝑜𝑤 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑏𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑. ✔️𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑔𝑙𝑜𝑏𝑎𝑙 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆, 𝑤𝑒’𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑒𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑦 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝 𝑎ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑑 𝑜𝑛 𝑐𝑙𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒. We're excited for a new edition of the 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗜𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟮𝟰𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 (5-6 April) by Liga Studenților din Facultatea de Automatică și Calculatoare București (LSAC București). This year, we're looking forward to another thrilling 24-hour hackathon; last year's event was a great mentoring experience for our colleagues who guided 20 teams of students to tackle the 𝑠𝑖𝑚𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑖𝑟𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑟 𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑜𝑚𝑦 challenge. We're keeping the 2025 challenge under wraps🤐 until 5 April... but it's worth the wait.🤫 Spread the word if you know a young tech enthusiast 🐣 that would be interested to participate; registration ends on 14 March. https://lnkd.in/dJ4tbN9M
