Our aim is to build a global movement that contributes to human, social and economic development through the provision of quality education. With a particular focus on those affected by poverty, conflict and disaster, it champions the needs of children, youth and women to empower them to become active members of their communities.

The foundation began operating in 2013, as a centralised home for stand-alone programmes, Educate A Child (operating since 2012), Al Fakhoora and Protect Education in Insecurity and Conflict (both operating since 2009). A pilot project, Kakuma, also falls under its remit. Shared resources and infrastructure have resulted in optimised output within the streamlined organisation.
