- Facilite a comunicação aberta. Use ferramentas como Slack ou Microsoft Teams para criar um espaço compartilhado para diálogos e atualizações.
- Comemore os sucessos compartilhados. Reconheça as conquistas resultantes da colaboração entre equipes para reforçar a união.

In my experience, the key to aligning cross-functional IT teams goes beyond communication tools and shared goals—it’s about fostering a culture of accountability and trust. One effective strategy is implementing "empathy mapping" sessions, where teams explore each other’s challenges and dependencies. This builds mutual understanding and reduces friction. Additionally, assigning cross-team liaisons can bridge gaps and ensure smoother collaboration. When teams feel heard and valued, engagement rises, and projects succeed. How do you cultivate cross-team synergy?

A unified approach, coupled with a focus on shared achievements, helps transform silos into a cohesive, results-driven team. - Start by establishing clear goals that align with the organization’s objectives, ensuring every team understands their role in achieving success. - Showcase a winning path where their contribution and skills are valued - Foster open communication through regular meetings and collaborative tools, allowing teams to share insights and address concerns. - Encourage mutual respect by recognizing the expertise each group brings to the table. - As a leader, act as a bridge, resolving conflicts and ensuring alignment.

IT typically works on manage & operate, business and IT initiatives. Unplanned work and repeat prioritizations disrupt the flow of work, cause miscommunication and collaboration breakdowns. While dedicating resource pools to M&O as well as project initiatives focuses resources on specific actions, it also creates new challenges. These include a lack of collaboration across M&O and projects, professional and personal growth opportunities. This may also affect the effectiveness of problem solving and continuous improvement cultures. Due to cost constraints, most organization operate a hybride resourcing model that spans M&O and initiatives. Here it is key to focus on obstacles to flow and constrained resources to ensure optimal collaboration.

In my experience, getting different teams to work together smoothly really boils down to two key things: clear communication and trust. Firstly, everyone needs to understand their role, what they're responsible for, and how their work fits into the bigger picture. If things aren't clear, even the best tools for teamwork won't help. Building trust is trickier. It happens in small ways – how leaders handle problems, how they recognize people's contributions. I've noticed teams work together much better when they feel their ideas are truly valued. The biggest challenge, I think, is figuring out how to build trust between teams that don't often work together.

Cross-functional alignment thrives on shared purpose and accountability. I’ve found that beyond common objectives, creating visual roadmaps—such as Gantt charts—helps clarify interdependencies. A critical success factor is empowering "bridge" roles, like DevOps leads or project liaisons, who actively link teams. Regularly rotating team members into shared learning workshops also cultivates mutual understanding. Finally, embed collaboration metrics, such as joint deliverable timelines, into KPIs. These ensure accountability while celebrating progress collectively. Aligning on "why" and "how" turns silos into synergy—focus on both to sustain unity.
