🛰️ 🛰️ 🛰️ Creotech Instruments will build National CAMILA Satellite Constellation for nearly €52 million.  This is the largest contract ever signed between ESA and a Polish entity. On April 15th, during a ceremony at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the official signing of a contract worth nearly €52 million took place between Creotech Instruments and the European Space Agency - ESA for the implementation of the strategic #CAMILA project (Country Awareness Mission in Land Analysis). The event was attended by Josef Aschbacher, Director General of #ESA; Simonetta Cheli, Director of Earth Observation Programmes at ESA; Michał Baranowski, Deputy Minister of Development and Technology. Our company was represented by Grzegorz Brona, President of Creotech Instruments. As part of the mission, a constellation of at least three Polish Earth observation satellites will be developed, along with ground infrastructure and a system to manage the entire space operation. Creotech Instruments will serve as the main contractor, working in close collaboration with leading companies from the Polish space sector, including CloudFerro S.A., Eycore, GMV Innovating Solutions, KP Labs, and Scanway. This marks another milestone on the path toward building independent national space capabilities. 🚀 PROBA-3's first autonomous formation flight successfully completed! As recently announced by the European Space Agency - ESA, the Proba-3 mission was achieved a key milestone – its first autonomous formation maintenance in space. It specifically refers to two spacecraft that aligned with the Sun and autonomously maintained their positions down to a few millimeters for hours at a time, without any control from Earth. 🌍🛰️ Coronagraph and Occulter were maintaining their position autonomously, using the intersatellite link to exchange vital positioning information with each other. 👉 Proba-3 mission is to demonstrate precise formation-flying technology in orbit and to study the Sun's corona. Two spacecraft – the Coronagraph and the Occulter – will fly 150 meters apart in perfect formation, simulating a single giant spacecraft. This is a tremendous success in engineering and technology, paving the way for new possibilities and the realization of ambitious space missions. We are proud to share this achievement, as our company participated in this project alongside other Polish companies and institutions. #Creotech Instruments, as part of the Proba-3 mission, was responsible for designing and building the optical instrument computer subsystem and the satellite testing system. Other than assembling the flight model, the company also designed the AEU electronics board, which is an element of the coronagraph controller. Engineers from the company in cooperation with the Space Research Centre collaborated on assembly stage of the redundancy module of the AEU, DPU, and PCU electronics boards.
