Polish Payment Standard (PSP) is a company formed by six biggest Polish banks: Alior Bank, Bank Millennium, Bank Zachodni WBK, mBank, ING Bank and PKO Bank Polski. PSP provides their customers with a revolutionary and intuitive mobile payment service -BLIK. BLIK enables customers to make eCommerce and retail payments, withdraw cash from ATMs and send transfers to other customers using the system. The PSP system, being a Polish payment scheme, means that the user can access the system using an app belonging to any of the participating banks, and can have several apps on their phone that will work with BLIK.

    Era of #BLIK at Best Brands Poland Insights Meetup 🗣️ What drives strong brand performance in today’s dynamic market? That was the main question during the #BestBrandsInsightsMeetup – a great opportunity to exchange ideas, data, and marketing perspectives. Krzysztof Ziewiec, Director of Marketing and PR at BLIK, together with Adam Miecznikowski, presented the story behind the era of BLIK – a decade of innovation that transformed the way people in Poland pay. Their session highlighted how technology, simplicity, and deep consumer understanding – supported by bold, creative communication – can turn a local solution into a brand standard. Thank you Best Brands Poland and Group One for the invitation and the opportunity to share the fascinating story of BLIK. We're glad the presentation was so well received and 72.7% of participants gave it the highest rating. Krzysztof Ziewiec also took part in the final panel discussion hosted by Dorota N. Haller (she/her), alongside Ewa Soroka and Arkadiusz Krokowski. The panellists explored how to build relevant brands in a world full of contrasts and how to keep relationships with customers while staying profitable. The conversation touched on the importance of maintaining a brand’s independence and its unique character, the role of consistency and long-term thinking in brand communication, and the need to stay true to customer insight, rather than chasing short-term gains.     #BLIK outpaces Europe’s mobile payment systems – and keeps growing 📊 Most mobile payment innovations emerged during the smartphone boom between 2012 and 2017, and that’s exactly when BLIK was born. A new report by EY Polska – “10 Years of BLIK” shows just how far it has come since then. In 2023, BLIK recorded over 1.7 bn transactions, making it Europe’s most-used mobile payment system. In 2024, that number reached an impressive 2.4 bn. In comparison, only the Dutch solution managed to exceed 1 bn transactions. Unlike Nordic systems, where P2P transfers dominate (50-60%), BLIK stands out with its strong role in e-commerce, handling over 50% of all online transactions in Poland in 2023.     EY Polska Report and the economic impact of #BLIK 📈 BLIK's economic influence goes far beyond simplifying payments. It shapes Poland's thriving e-commerce sector and contributes to broader national growth. The EY report, “10 Years of BLIK,” not only offers compelling data, but also analysis which shows how important BLIK is to the economy. In a broad perspective, Polish e-commerce is cutting retail costs and by 2023 enabled saving around PLN 2.8 bn (596.4 m EUR). However, this landscape is powered by technological innovation and solutions like BLIK, which contributes in 0.74% and PLN 1.3 bn (276.9 m EUR) saving. What is more, approximately 45% of BLIK's savings are unique to its existence, highlighting its essential role in driving down online shopping costs in Poland. Beyond cost optimization, BLIK also empowers Polish entrepreneurs, stimulating innovation and enhancing competitiveness.     #Polish innovation takes the spotlight in Brussels 🗺️ Today marks the international launch of the Sukces Pisany Szminką x We Did It In Poland campaign which shows the strength of Polish innovation on the global stage. The campaign was inaugurated during the “Competitiveness & Security Business Summit 2025” in Brussels, held under the official patronage of Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union. Alongside the campaign, an interactive exhibition was opened and presented technologies and achievements made in Poland.
