In a historic moment inspired by Wilhelm Röntgen’s 1895 discovery, SpaceX’s private Fram2 mission captured the first-ever X-ray image taken in space — an X-ray of a hand aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft. The mission, funded by Maltese crypto billionaire Chun Wang and launched on March 31, was also the first human spaceflight to enter polar orbit. Over three and a half days, the crew conducted 22 science experiments, including mushroom farming, brain EEG tracking, and glucose monitoring. The team didn’t stop at a hand X-ray. They also performed scans of the pelvis, abdomen, and electronic devices, showing how space-based diagnostics could work in future missions. Fram2 safely returned with a splashdown off the California coast on April 4. #SpaceX #Fram2 #CrewDragon #SpaceXFram2 #HumanSpaceflight #SpaceXMission #XRayInSpace #PolarOrbit #ChunWang #SpaceResearch

Google DeepMind is putting strict non-compete rules on its AI researchers. They can’t join competing companies for 6 to 12 months. During this time, they get full pay — but aren’t allowed to work. This “paid limbo” mostly affects developers working on Gemini AI. Senior researchers face even longer waits, keeping skilled talent out of rival teams. In the U.S., non-competes are being banned, but DeepMind is using UK legal loopholes to protect its edge — by paying researchers to stay inactive and off the market. #GoogleDeepMind #GeminiAI #AIResearch #TechNews #ArtificialIntelligence #NonCompete #UKTech #DeepMind #FutureOfAI #AIIndustry #PaidLimbo

Researchers from the University of Bristol and Cambridge have successfully made the UK's first long-distance quantum-secured video call. Using standard fiber optic infrastructure, they linked two quantum networks over 250 miles, combining two types of quantum key distribution (QKD) for unmatched data security. This breakthrough not only marks a milestone for the UK Quantum Network but also sets the stage for a future quantum internet that’s immune to cyberattacks—even those from quantum computers. #QuantumNetwork #QuantumComputing #QKD #UKQuantumNetwork #CyberSecurity #QuantumInternet #FutureTech #BristolUniversity #CambridgeUniversity #TechInnovation

Audi has paused all U.S. vehicle deliveries that arrived after April 2, following a new 25% import tax announced by President Trump. Around 37,000 Audi cars already in the U.S. will continue to serve customers for the next two months. Jaguar Land Rover also stopped deliveries, calling it a temporary move. Stellantis shut down one plant in Canada and another in Mexico, with about 900 U.S. workers facing short-term layoffs. Automakers are now weighing price hikes, shifting production, or slowing operations as they respond to the new tariff policy. #Audi #USImportTariff #Volkswagen #JaguarLandRover #Stellantis #AutoNews #TariffImpact #TrumpTariff #CarPrices #AutoIndustry

Toyota’s growth strategy focuses on making the right vehicles for the right customers using just two brands—Toyota and Lexus. Its top sellers, the RAV4 and Corolla, continue to lead in sales and innovation. The 2026 Toyota RAV4 (XA60) is set to launch first, followed by the next-gen Corolla in 2026 or 2027, featuring a bold new design, full hybrid lineup, and a possible 400 hp GR variant. Designer Giorgi Tedoradze has previewed the 13th-gen Corolla with a sportier look and Camry-inspired styling. Expect multiple powertrain options including ICE, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and turbocharged models. #ToyotaCorolla #ToyotaRAV4 #GRCorolla #2027Corolla #2026RAV4 #HybridCars #PlugInHybrid #CarNews #AutoDesign #ToyotaFuture

A new research paper from Google DeepMind suggests Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) could emerge as soon as 2030—and with it, risks that could “permanently destroy humanity.” While the paper doesn’t explain exactly how such a disaster might happen, it urges serious attention. Co-authored by DeepMind’s Shane Legg, the paper breaks AGI risks into four categories: misuse, misalignment, mistakes, and structural flaws. It calls for a proactive approach to prevent AGI from being weaponized or causing unintended harm. DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis has also called for the creation of a global oversight body—similar to the UN or CERN—to ensure AGI development is safe, transparent, and under international regulation. #AGI #ArtificialIntelligence #DeepMind #AGIRisks #DemisHassabis #ShaneLegg #AIRegulation #TechSafety #2030Predictions #FutureOfAI

A new study reveals that Mars dust—packed with toxic silicates, perchlorates, and heavy metals—could be dangerous for astronauts during long missions. It could harm lungs, thyroids, and other organs over time. Researchers from the University of Colorado Boulder and USC used data from Mars rovers and meteorites. They found that fine dust particles can enter the bloodstream and cause long-term damage. Based on lessons from Apollo missions, the team warns that even small amounts of these toxic materials could become a serious threat during 18-month stays on the Martian surface. They’re calling for clear solutions before any crewed missions move forward. #MarsMission #MartianDust #SpaceHealth #NASA #HumanOnMars #MarsExploration #AstronautSafety #SpaceNews #ApolloLessons #ScienceAlert

Trump has warned of a new 50% tariff on Chinese imports, on top of the current 54%, if China doesn’t remove its 34% retaliatory tariff by April 8. This would bring the total tariff to a shocking 104%. The trade tensions escalated after Trump’s recent “Liberation Day” move, which added a 34% tariff to an existing 20%. Many experts are still confused by the math behind the totals. Trump is using emergency powers under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to push these changes. Meanwhile, lawmakers like Sen. Grassley are trying to rein in this authority—but so far, with little success. #TrumpTariffs #TradeWar #ChinaTariffs #104PercentTariff #LiberationDay #IEEPA #USChinaTrade #EconomicPolicy #SenGrassley #PoliticsNews

Dallas-based Colossal Biosciences has made history by successfully creating three dire wolf pups using ancient DNA, gene-editing, and cloning. This is the world’s first proven case of animal de-extinction. Scientists started with 13,000-year-old fossils and made 20 changes to gray wolf DNA. These edits recreated key traits of the extinct dire wolf, like its thick fur and strong jaws. The result is a hybrid that closely resembles the long-lost predator. The pups were born between October 2024 and January 2025 and are now being monitored on a secure 2,000-acre site. Colossal isn't stopping here—they're also working to bring back the woolly mammoth and the Tasmanian tiger. #ColossalBiosciences #DireWolf #DeExtinction #AncientDNA #GeneticEngineering #Cloning #WoollyMammoth #TasmanianTiger #ScienceNews #TechNews
