Systems Analyst (L3 Support)

The IT Data and Analytics department within the IT group is in charge of defining enterprise data and data architecture, producing data models and data transformation to support analytics and reporting needs across all BDO applications.

As a Systems Analyst, you will be supporting platforms and applications under the Data Analytics team from the IT Group and the continuous functioning of the platform on areas such as governance, IT operations processes (methodologies, processes, and tools), and platform administration. You will also be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of policies on operations and governance for all data and analytics platforms.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure platform’s adherence to standard operating models, management of application/infrastructure patches, upgrades, and installation of platform components.
• Perform technical production support activities on in-scope applications. Activities may include, but are not limited to, monitoring of jobs, production process & overall platform health, conducting investigation of functional/technical/infrastructure issues, resolving incidents, and leading the documentation process for the overall platform support.
• Proactively monitor and produce reports on data and analytics operations/governance.
• Automate reports/processes that supports any operations/governance activities.
• Ensure platform stability across data platform capabilities such as data flow monitoring, data quality, license & platform costs, and effectiveness of department’s overall operations processes.
• Gather data required to perform and enforce platform policies related to data and analytics platform which includes and is not limited to platform usage and license management, infrastructure monitoring, data security, access controls, landscape environment management, incident/ problem/ change management processes.

Competencies:

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and data integration patters, with experience in designing scalable and efficient data pipelines, addressing IT infrastructure & architecture, network & application security, and identity & access management incidents.
• Software Analysis Skills: Knowledge and experience in ETL, Azure Data Platforms, Databricks, or MDM (preferably Informatica), and ITIL Service Management Framework.
• Analytical Skills: Problem-solving capabilities, strong analytical skills, and flexibility to be able to handle complex situations as necessary
• Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an aptitude for working in cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability: Agile in adapting to change and learning new technologies.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision in coding, debugging, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production support and operations experience.
• Has exposure on working in shifts and/or weekend shift/on-call support.
• Supported creation & execution of test cases and scenarios for solutions.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Makati.
