System Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of complex systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including software developers, network engineers, and project managers—to deliver robust and scalable solutions that meet diverse business needs. This position requires a strong understanding of modern IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, automation principles, advanced Microsoft 365 (M365) administration, and effective communication skills in English. You will focus on supporting a key global client, ensuring seamless operations and optimized performance.

System Design and Architecture

• Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure systems infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud-based resources.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions based on performance, cost, and security considerations.
• Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams and documentation.

System Implementation and Maintenance

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and services.
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), including provisioning, scaling, and security.

Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Implement IaC principles using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate system deployment, configuration management, and patching processes.

Security and Compliance

• Implement and maintain security best practices, including access control, vulnerability management, and intrusion detection.
• Ensure systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments in coordination with the security team.

Microsoft 365 Advanced Administration

• Manage and administer M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Azure Active Directory.
• Implement and oversee M365 security and compliance features such as Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and eDiscovery.
• Configure and manage M365 collaboration tools and workflows.
• Troubleshoot M365 issues and provide technical support to users.
• Manage and implement M365 Intune.
• Manage and implement M365 Defender.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure smooth application deployment and integration.
• Coordinate with network engineers to troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal users and stakeholders.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Continuous Improvement

• Remain current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Proven experience with advanced M365 administration.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management tools.
• Demonstrated success supporting global or enterprise-level clients.

• Must be prepared to interface with stakeholders across various time zones, particularly in North America.
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Capable of adapting to unique project requirements for a dedicated global client.
