Primary Responsibilities:

• Manages the preparation of the monthly bank reconciliation report
• Reviews the monthly schedules of various balance sheet and P&L accounts and analysis of account movements
• Reviews the monthly journal voucher accounting entries
• Reviews the monthly trial balance and ensures complete and correct posting of general ledger entries
• Prepares and analyzes the monthly income statement
• Facilitates the preparation of the monthly summaries, schedules and financial reports to JG Summit Holdings, Inc.
• Assists in the conduct of audits of external auditors and participate in audit discussions concerning relevant implications that affect the financials of the Company
• Facilitates preparation of the required quarterly and annual FS disclosures, including the submissions to relevant governing bodies such as SEC, PSE, CAB, etc.
• Manages the General Accounting staff (supervisors and accounts specialists/analysts)
• Coordinates with other departments for reconciliation and clean-up of accounts
  
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science, Major in Accountancy is required
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Must have previous work experience in an auditing firm
• Must have extensive knowledge on financial statements preparation
• Preferably with minimum of 5 years working experience, at least 2 years in a managerial position
• Background in airline accounting is a plus

Note: This position is for an Individual Contributor and will be based in Pasay City, Metro Manila but currently follows a hybrid workplace flexibility arrangement.
