Description: Key Accountabilities

The key accountabilities of a Frontend Developer include:

• Transform designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Development, enhancement and maintenance of our frontend websites and web applications
• Development, enhancement and maintenance of our backend applications and systems
• Ad Hoc development, enhancement, and maintenance of other systems and technologies the business may require
• Creating documentation on all work done such that other developers can easily understand and quickly start working on the project as well
• The position is required to carry out any additional duties or projects to the department/team.

Expectations

• Take technical ownership of frontend development projects using Umbraco CMS and React.js.
• Collaborate with design, UX, and product teams to craft innovative, user-centric, and visually stunning UIs.
• Drive the integration of complex APIs and dynamic data into highly interactive customer-facing applications.
• Define and uphold best practices for performance optimization, SEO, accessibility, and code quality.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of scalable design systems and reusable components.
• Translate business goals and user needs into elegant frontend solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Identify opportunities for frontend improvements and lead initiatives to enhance user delight and engagement.

Skills and Experiences: Qualifications

• Completing a tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Project Management, or related discipline.
  
  
  

Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience working with Umbraco CMS, building customer-facing sites.
• 4+ years of experience with React.js, including state management and UI component development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven ability to build elegant, responsive, and accessible UIs.
• Strong skills in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience optimizing web performance and SEO.
• Expertise in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
