UM Enigma

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗔 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡! It was an outstanding success! UM Enigma took part in the Freshmen Transferee Orientation held on August 27, 2024, in the UM Gymnasium. The orientation started in full force as Freshies and Transferees eagerly participated in the various booths in the Gymnasium. 𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒔? The orientation moved through from the initial speeches, the entertaining performances, and the free shirts; to the introduction of the various organizations within the department, and even the power interruptions to add. It was truly an eventful day. 𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏? 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Members of the University of Mindanao's Enigma participated in the 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗼𝗳𝗳 held on August 10, 2024, at Barrio Bistro. The gathering discusses the fundamentals of blockchain, a concept that has been emerging for the past few years. Students, developers, and blockchain enthusiasts spent the afternoon learning, networking, and collaborating with others. The event was kickstarted by the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 - 𝗨𝗠 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 (𝗝𝗕𝗘𝗖𝗣-𝗨𝗠), an organization that tackles ideas and concepts surrounding blockchain, through education, events, and experience. In addition to this, the event also introduced the Solana network, as well as tips for aspiring entrepreneurs to make their startup ideas viable. Lastly, participants were briefly oriented about JBECP-UM's upcoming ideathon and hackathon, 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗟𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗢. The said event will feature innovative workshops, dynamic pitch sessions, a full-day ideathon, a three-week hackathon, and a collaborative environment, enabling developers and enthusiasts alike to unleash their full potential. 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗨𝗠 𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗠𝗔 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗔 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗢 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗣 UM Enigma members participated in 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽, on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 – to discuss a new public network that extends beyond the traditional concepts of blockchain, blockchain tech, and even cryptocurrencies. It might have been overwhelming to some of us, as we explore the world of Hashgraph. For some, it might have been a much-needed enlightenment as we dived deeper into the details of the technology. Nevertheless, along with their enjoyable games and generous merch, it was an experience that stimulated our curiosity and ignited our passion for lifelong learning.
