  • The Mareikura Waka Ama Club's new storage facility is underway at Anzac Park. This project has overcome significant challenges, including a redesign after Cyclone Gabrielle to withstand future flooding risks. Trust Tairāwhiti is proud to support this kaupapa with over $1.3 million in funding. Additional funding sources include Lottery Community Facilities and Eastern Central Community Trust, along with community fundraising efforts that have raised $20,000.   • Our latest funding round is about more than just repairs - it's about preserving opportunities for our community and exploring new economic opportunities. The Gisborne Youth Sports Charitable Trust (GYSCT) is receiving $15,000 to restore the Gisborne Sports Centre roof after damage caused by Cyclone Gabrielle. This funding will help ensure continued access for the Gymnastics Club, Judo Club, Trampolining Club, and various community groups. We're proud to support this vital recreational hub for our tamariki and whānau.
