Did you catch our Chief Executive, Aileen Lawrie, in Whitianga today? She was out and about, chatting with locals during our community catch-up session and gathering valuable feedback on key topics. We were thrilled to see so many Whitianga residents and holiday homeowners stop by to share their thoughts on Local Water Done Well, the Rating Review, proposed changes to summer kerbside collections, and even enroll for the upcoming local election. www.tcdc.govt.nz/catchup Next stop: Tairua-Pāuanui! We're there tomorrow at St Francis House, Main Road, Tairua, between 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Come see us!

We're working to make the Coromandel New Zealand's most desirable place to live, work and visit.
About us
The Coromandel is renowned for its breath-taking scenery: golden beaches, natural hideaways and remarkable rainforests. People are friendly and welcoming, and the warm and sunny climate all make the Coromandel an ideal place to live. The atmosphere is peaceful and restorative with plenty of opportunity for adventure (tramping, diving, biking, fishing anyone?) plus fabulous cafes and restaurants. We are looking for talented people who want to work with our communities, to use their voices, abilities and passion to create sustainable change. We offer a wide variety of careers in finance, engineering, planning, monitoring, policy, customer services, administration – and more! We're close to big cities but everything you need is here: Community facilities, sports clubs, markets, festivals - the district is not lacking in entertainment. Are you ready to make an impact? Live, Work and Play in the Coromandel. At TCDC we want to help you be the best ‘you’ that you can be. Our culture, based around accountability and trust, empowers our team to achieve outcomes they didn’t think possible. • We are dedicated to building an inclusive team culture where employees can do their best work • We welcome diverse perspectives and people who have the courage to challenge assumptions • We thrive on agility, promote flexibility, operate on trust and expect high performance We want all who join our team to realise and reach their individual potential and take ownership of collective organisational outcomes. When everyone’s in, everyone wins! The ranges of Hauraki are shrouded in mist. We acknowledge the land and people, To the shore stands Moehau, inland stands Te Aroha, Tikapa is the sea, Hauraki the land.

We're very happy to announce that the contract to build the new Refuse and Recycling Transfer Station in Whitianga has been awarded to Watts & Hughes Construction Group Ltd and construction can begin soon. The new transfer station will hugely contribute to our goal of reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill, with a resource recovery facility on site to capture usable items from the waste stream. This is all possible thanks to a very generous grant from the Ministry for the Environment | Manatū mō te Taiao - thank you MfE 😊 https://lnkd.in/gVa6R74w
