Kia ora! We’re PickPath. We’re a company of artists and developers, based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington in Aotearoa-New Zealand. We’ve developed a new platform for creating and sharing app guided experiences, enabling cultural organisations, performance makers, experience designers, place-makers and tourist operators to connect with their audiences in new ways. Over the next six months we’re collaborating with a bunch of creatively minded organisations around the country to deliver a range of experiences, all presented on the PickPath app. These experiences include time travelling adventures, real-world gaming experiences, meditative audio walks, live festival guides, and interactive museum tours! We’re cant wait to share these with you, and - if we do say so ourselves - the ingenious features of PickPath as we go. And guess what? We’re open to collaboration! If you’re interested in trying out PickPath for your company or organisation get in touch.

Create and share app-guided experiences with PickPath
About us
PickPath is a new, innovative platform that allows you to create and share engaging app-guided experiences with your audience. Think audio tours, exhibition guides, interactive adventures, audience aids for performances and festivals. With PickPath, you have the power to build immersive journeys - incorporating audio and video elements, geolocation, time and location based conditions, and endless pick-a-path avenues. PickPath is a platform that anyone can use - without any specialist technical skills. If you have a clear idea of the experience you want to make, you can jump into the intuitive Creator Studio and start building straight away. Alternatively, the PickPath team offers services to help you conceptualise and build your experience, or even create the experience for you. This year, we're working with our first test customers - including Auckland Pride Festival, Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand, Taranaki Arts Festival & Cubadupa (and many others!). If you are interested in learning more about how PickPath can help you deepen engagement with your audiences, or connect with new ones, we encourage you to get in touch!

Yesterday, the PickPath team joined our Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa colleagues at the entrance to Te Taiao | Nature to officially launch our latest collaboration: Te Huanui a Māui | The Path of Māui. This interactive mobile experience unlocks the stories within the exhibition – visitors can now explore Te Taiao | Nature through the eyes of Māui, the legendary adventurer, innovator, and shapeshifter. With immersive soundscapes, custom narration, animations, and fun interactive surprises, it’s a whole new way to engage with the exhibition and uncover hidden stories. We’re thrilled to bring this experience to Te Papa’s visitors, offering fresh perspectives on one of Aotearoa’s most loved exhibitions – all while empowering them with mātauranga to be kaitiaki taiao (protectors of nature). Scan the QR code at the exhibition entrance to download the free PickPath app and start your journey with Māui – the greatest innovator of them all.

Multiple choice steps are some of the most powerful tools for building creative guided experiences on the PickPath platform. They offer opportunities for interaction, they give users the power to engage with versions of an experience tailored to their choices, and they encourage your audiences to return over again to try the different choices. In the third video in our "introduction to PickPath" series, Karin shows you how to integrate them into your projects with some simple examples. You can get some very sophisticated outcomes using these tools. https://lnkd.in/g3CWAbV5

A wonderful team of creatives from Te Whanganui-a-Tara are collaborating on Encounter, an innovative piece of storytelling about the city's Chinese history, and they are looking for support from the community via Boosted. They are using our platform as the foundation technology for their narrative-driven audio walk and we couldn't be happier. https://lnkd.in/gde4czxt
