The Moana Pasifika Young Women’s Programme for high school girls kicked off today, with the vibrant energy of future leaders filling the room. Jess Lagaluga Hutchings, one of two recipients of the inaugural Sir John Logan Campbell Medical Trust Fellowship Travel Grant, is embarking on an exciting journey to expand her research in health equity. The fellowship will support her three-month project in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Tampere University Collaborating Centre, where she will work on the upcoming launch of a report on social determinants of health equity. 🔗https://lnkd.in/gvhR3T4h

We have had amazing and fulfilling week in Tonga with Emma Allanson with the help of Pasifika Medical Association Group and the MOH IN Tonga. We saw 50 patients and performed 18 surgeries. Thank you all for having us. We look forward to next time.
