Pakihi Māori remain resilient, expanding beyond primary industries & proving that kaupapa-driven businesses are here to stay. From high-end brands like Noa Blanket Co & Curio Noir, to 'Māori Proud' brands like Awhi Company, Tuhi Stationery & Rerehua Boutique who are infusing our culture into their business. The market response speaks volumes - Māori excellence is in demand. We love seeing our creativity & mātauranga driving the proliferation of kaupapa-driven brands, talented professionals & our hard-working trade & construction crews. With 3,168 wāhine Māori sole traders and 9,132 wāhine Māori owned or part-owned pakihi, their impact is undeniable - injecting over $12.5 billion into the Māori economy!  From the creative industries to tech, primary sectors, and social enterprises, wāhine-led businesses are doing more than generating profits—they’re uplifting whānau, preserving our reo and tikanga, and creating opportunities for future generations.  To all our wāhine Māori in business - we see you, we celebrate you, and we support you.
