Trade Mission Offshore Wind Vessels: Portugal & Spain 🚢 We are thrilled to share the success of the Trade Mission to Portugal and Spain this week, focusing on offshore wind vessels. We were delighted to have with us some of Norway's leading companies in maritime technology and services: Motus Technology AS, Seaonics AS, Autronica Fire and Security AS, Corvus Energy, Kongsberg Maritime, DNV, Eltorque, Vestervind Contractors, and Norwegian Offshore Wind. We had the pleasure of bringing the delegation of Norwegian companies to visit several key shipyards and associations, including Lisnave Estaleiros Navais S.A., Estaleiros Navais do Mondego, SA, ATLANTICEAGLE SHIPBUILDING, LDA, Industrias Ferri S.A., Nodosa Group, ARMON SHIPYARDS, Freire Shipyard - C.N.P.FREIRE, S.A, MARINA MERIDIONAL, Metalships & Docks S.A.U. and to engage with GONDAN Shipbuilders - Astilleros Gondán. We also had the pleasure of visiting and engaging with AIN- Associação das Indústrias Navais, Asime Galicia, ASOCIACION CLUSTER NAVAL GALLEGO, and Navalia Exhibition. We are very grateful to the shipyards and associations for their warm welcome and invaluable insights. Special thanks to the Norwegian Embassy in Lisbon and the Norwegian Embassy in Madrid for their collaboration throughout this mission, and to the Camara de Comercio Hispano Noruega for their support. The events led to valuable connections and insights, and resulted in a collaboration agreement (MoU) between Norwegian Offshore Wind and Asime Galicia. We look forward to following up on these promising opportunities! Helseth (Bellona Europa) to deliver a powerful keynote on climate action. 🔹 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐬 The final panel of the day, featuring Nicolas Boruchowicz (DNV), Charles Weymuller (EDF), Arnaud Bellanger (Statkraft), and Gro Waeraas de Saint Martin (Réseau de Transport d'Électricité), moderated by Ingeborg Frøysnes, examined how sustainable energy solutions and infrastructure must transform industrial operations at both national and European levels. 💡 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬? ✔️ Adoption of new technologies to green the energy grid. ✔️ Stronger integration of sustainable energy solutions into existing supply chains. ✔️ Policy support to accelerate the transition and ensure competitiveness. Finally, Armin Hafner (International Institute of Refrigeration) and Etienne Almoric (FEBUS Optics) presented infrastructure innovations for enhanced energy supervision and efficiency. Yesterday, leading voices from Norwegian and French industry, government, and research gathered in Paris to accelerate the green industrial collaboration! 🇳🇴🤝🇫🇷 Hosted by the French-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, Ambassade de France en Norvège, Ambassade de Norvège en France, and Innovation Norway, the 3rd edition of our Green Industry Forum focused on strategies and partnerships for industrial value chains, decarbonization, innovation, and financing mechanisms for driving the green shift. Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry, Cecilie T. Myrseth, and French Minister for Industry and Energy, Marc Ferracci, opened the Forum, underlining the close and long-standing relations between our two countries, and expressing their wishes to deepen the cooperation further. We were proud to see BRGM and The Geological Survey of Norway signing an MoU, confirming the will to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the key sector of critical minerals and mining, and NORCE Norwegian Research Centre and NAVAL GROUP signing a cooperation agreement on maritime research.
