The Next Supply Chain Crisis? Batteries. We’ve seen how fragile supply chains can be. COVID-19. Semiconductor shortages. Rare earth metal dependencies. But there’s another looming issue: batteries. 🛑 Raw materials are finite. 🛑 Mining conditions are brutal. 🛑 Recycling isn’t keeping up with demand. What happens when the world runs out of affordable lithium? ONiO is developing batteryless microcontrollers that cut supply chain risks and reduce reliance on limited resources. The future isn’t about making better batteries—it’s about needing fewer of them. How should industries prepare for the next battery crunch?

  • The IoT Paradox—Too Smart to Be This Dumb? 🤔 We call it "smart tech," but why do our devices still rely on dumb batteries? A “smart” sensor dies because a tiny battery runs out. A “smart” city has gaps in data because sensors need constant maintenance. A “smart” home still has drawers full of spare batteries. If IoT is truly smart, shouldn’t it power itself? That’s where batteryless tech changes everything. ONiO is building IoT sensors that never need replacing, never need recharging, and never stop working. 🚀 What’s holding back the next era of truly smart tech? 💬👉

  •  What If Your Remote Lasted Forever? In 2022, Samsung made a bold move— They switched their TV remotes to batteryless, solar-powered models. Why? Because even something as small as a remote contributes to millions of disposable batteries in landfills. 📢 This is just the beginning. ONiO is pushing batteryless tech beyond remotes—to smart homes, medical sensors, and industrial IoT. Because sustainability shouldn’t be a compromise—it should be standard. Would you pay extra for devices that never need batteries? Let’s discuss 👇 #IoT #BatteryFreeTech #EnergyHarvesting #Sustainability

  • AI & IoT Need Each Other—But One Is Useless Without This Everyone’s excited about AI + IoT. But here’s the hard truth: AI is only as good as the data it gets. Without real-time, high-quality data, even the most advanced AI models are flying blind. That’s where IoT comes in—but legacy IoT sensors still rely on batteries, limiting where they can operate and how long they last. 💡 Enter batteryless sensors. ONiO’s energy-harvesting tech allows AI-driven IoT to go anywhere, collect continuous data, and feed real-world intelligence into powerful models. The future isn’t just AI. It’s AI powered by always-on, batteryless IoT. Do you think AI will ever outgrow its dependence on better data? • ♻️ E-Waste is Exploding. Energy Harvesting is the Answer. ⚠️ Did you know? Batteries are now the fastest-growing e-waste problem. 🚫 98% of disposable batteries end up in landfills. 🌍 Toxic chemicals seep into the earth. 🔋 15 billion batteries are discarded every year. But what if devices could power themselves—with no need for batteries at all? At ONiO, we’re building microcontrollers that sip energy from their surroundings— light, movement, radio waves. The result? Electronics that never need a battery change. No waste. No maintenance. Just pure, continuous power. The age of disposable batteries is ending. Who else is ready for the shift? 🚀 #GreenTech #Sustainability #EnergyHarvesting #Batteryless #CircularEconomy

  • The (Slow) Shift Toward Self-Powered Alternatives So, if batteries are so entrenched, how do we move from business-as-usual into something more future-proof? The truth is, it’s rarely a sudden leap. For most companies, a gradual transition makes the most sense: they keep existing battery-based designs but begin adopting energy-harvesting elements here and there. It could be as simple as adding a small solar or RF harvester on top of the existing battery architecture—reducing how often that battery needs replacement. Over time, those designs can evolve into more fully batteryless solutions. In essence, it’s less about flipping a switch and more about stepping onto the path of energy autonomy. https://lnkd.in/gwkyEtnR
