𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 NWO (Dutch Research Council) has awarded over €7.7 million for four groundbreaking projects focused on the digitalization of energy renovations in the built environment. One of these projects, DPARt, led by Eindhoven University of Technology researchers Qi Han and Dujuan Yang, from the Built Environment at TU/e and EIRES – Eindhoven Institute for Renewable Energy Systems , aims to enhance renovation decision-making for Dutch homeowners associations (VvEs). DPARt will leverage cutting-edge technology, including agent-based simulation systems and AI-powered gamification, to streamline stakeholder collaboration and accelerate collective decision-making. As Dujuan Yang states, "𝘋𝘗𝘈𝘙𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥-𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨-𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺, 𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺-𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴." This initiative not only advances sustainability but also creates a blueprint for scalable change, embodying TU/e's commitment to #societalimpact. We are proud to collaborate with consortium partners: Brainport Development N.V., Coders Co., Energie Samen, Foodvalley, Coöperatie ValleiEnergie, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Games for Health, HetEnergieBureau, JB-Energie, Metropoolregio Eindhoven, Gemeente Eindhoven, Gemeente Veenendaal, ROM Utrecht Region, Shintō Labs, Sustainability coach, Tygron Platform, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht), and Stichting VvE Belang. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eVpX9gBu Dujuan Yang (left) and Qi Han.
